The first time I went to see a Camelot Musical was a couple of years ago to support my friend who played one of Ursula 's tentacles in the Little mermaid production. That day I was blown away by the performance of the actors, the singing, the set, everything! I was obsessed with that Disney Character for a while after that,I listened to the soundtrack in the morning,in the car, while doing chores. Camelot clearly left an impression on me. Now I am proud to say I am in a Camelot production that is debuting on the 27th! I 'm stoked to be a part of such a amazing musical! You do not want to miss it! The cast and crew have been working nonstop on this production! It is the biggest Camelot production yet! I am so thankful for all the volunteers who
When I attended Shrek the Musical put on by Wylie High Schools Theater Department, I admit that I did not have high expectations. I had always enjoyed the Shrek movies, but was not prepared to witness the green Ogre come to life before my eyes. From the moment the characters marched down the isle of the auditorium, it was evident that many talented people had put time in effort into making this performance enjoyable and memorable. Shrek the Musical consisted of a tremendous cast, beautiful music, awe inspiring scenery in addition to heart felt imagery.
From the initial reaction to the announcement, everyone seemed excited as can be. Three long, hard months of work all come down to just five shows, each two hours long. To have these musicals there is a lot of work to be done in a little amount of time. At Kings Junior High every performer is not only required to be at all of their rehearsal times, but have private one on one singing coaching, and donating some of their time to the building of the set. For a show to have a good outcome, every single person must be putting in a lot of time and effort, not just as rehearsals but at home also.
The concert included a wide array of songs. My favorite song from the set was “Sweet Little Angel”. I love the sounds that the guitarist was able to make with the guitar. I could not keep myself from bobbing my head and really getting engrossed into the song. The instruments were poignant and well played
The musical Seussical the Musical was a jovial experience that made many including me reminiscence the times when we read Dr. Suess. The creative sets, colorful costumes, and the acting skills brought Dr. Seuss 's books alive. I truly enjoyed the aspect of joining Dr. Seuss books and plots, like Gertrude McFuzz to create one plot and the inclusion of The Cat in the Hat in many of the scenes. The musical captured the ambience of the books, specifically Horton Hears A Who. The dedication of those in the musical shined from their eminent acting skills and their ability to display the character they portrayed.
I think this is by far the best musical all of the songs in the movie are extremely catchy and all of the actors in the movie do a great job of portraying their character especially Rick Moranis who plays the main character. As I have said before they do an amazing job on the puppet work for the plant and the actual voice actor for the plant does an amazing job of making you love the character. They also did a great job of all the sets in the movie they really made it look like 1950’s/60’s New York in a poor run down neighborhood and it really adds to the whole experience of the movie. I think you should really see this movie while it is obviously not in theaters anymore it is on dvd and blu ray while I am not sure how much a normal dvd is the blu ray is 20 dollars and includes a lot of special features if you are interested in that kind of thing but i 'm sure you could find it randomly on your tv one day and just record it on your dvr
"Thomas Longwoods Acting Classes, they 're in Montgomery Valley now, I want to sign up" I tell my mother as I hold the sheet infront of her face. " Acting.... why? " She says, squinting her eyes to read the words while my baby sister Ronnie starts to nuzzle her head in to my moms neck. " Because its my drea-" Ronnie starts to spit up and mother jolts to the washroom before I can even finish my sentence. I lift the registration form and crumple in into my palms.
Meet my Jazz band. This is a picture of us in New Orleans my junior year during spring break to play Jazz. I decided upon this picture because this band has had such a profound impact on how I frame my future. My connection with music through the piano has been fostered ever since I could reach those shiny black and white collection of keys. Starting at the age of four, playing the classical music of Mozart and Bach was what my musical background was founded upon, with tangible medals and accomplishments as achievements.
In the Heights a play full enthusiasm and full of energy, it won many awards including a Tony award it was produced and directed by Lin Manuel Miranda. It was performed in Irvington Town hall Theatre on August 15 ,2014. It is a musical that carries a lot of messages, that brings connection to many people about wanting to experience something new and wanting to find home. Usnavi a man who live and own a Bodega in Washington Heights want to connect to his root in the Dominican Republic by going back since he hasn 't gone in a long time.
It is not surprising for one to think that one might get bored at a two-hour long orchestra, but during the whole performance I was at the edge of my seat just wanting to get up and dance. The band was very audience focused and kept everyone engaged throughout with their jokes, songs, and act. The lyrics of the songs they sang were fun and impressive. They sang compositions from different countries and across different genres; two of my favorites

My Theme Song Songs can connect with how we feel and our experiences. Music has been a major part of my life ever since I was just a toddler. For me music has helped me express what I am feeling and who I am as a person. My therapy has been music, it has helped me through almost every problem I have faced. With listening to the song lyrics, we can get a true understanding of what the artist is trying to tell us.
I am Julianna Jenkins an outgoing Musical Theater major with a dream to be an entertainment lawyer. I have been going to Appomattox Regional Governors School for 3 years as a Musical Theater Major. One of the reason I fell in love with Greensboro College is because it has a small community and that will give my an opportunity to grow. After meeting some of the Musical Theater students from freshman to senior they all said that they have gotten support from student and teachers at Greensboro. They also said that Greensboro is not a place that you will get lost in the crowd.
The musical, “The Drowsy Chaperone”, was unfortunately unfamiliar to me until I watched it at Charlotte Country Day School. The only previous knowledge I had of this show was the short description I read online. However, I feel that the element of surprise made this musical even better. “The Drowsy Chaperone” was absolutely lovely from start to finish and I am especially pleased that Country Day’s production was the first rendition I saw. There are so many aspects of this show that I love.
I had been in band from fifth grade through high school so even just hearing an ensemble sound again was amazing as I miss band very much. I also really enjoyed The Swan Lake Suite as it has been one of my favorite pieces since I was little, so it was also really nice to hear something that I already knew a little of how it would go. The orchestra sounded amazing and I am also good friends with one of the bassoon players so it was neat that one of our concerts to choose from had someone I knew in it. It was so interesting to hear all of the elements we have been discussing in class, actually in person and it was helpful that I was in band throughout school
The show I went to see was none other than Xavier’s Legend of Sleepy Hollow on October 20th at 7:00 P.M. The casting was great, and all the actors and actresses played a character. The stage wasn’t too cluttered, but it also had enough props on it to add to the story. The lighting was good, and the transition were good. The audience was a mix between adults and children, but there were mainly children.
