Determination. I had to put this word first in this essay because its the only word that has a big meaning to me and has my whole life. Being determined has done a lot for me in the long run. It had kept my motivations up and going, also has led my life to where it is now. Determination wasn't just planted into my mindset one day. No, obstacles in my life that had the opportunity to make me or break me had helped me get a good grip on the motive. I knew that I wanted better and needed more in my life. I have gained important leadership skills because at a very young age I had to become a mom. A mom to my own siblings, my parents had troubles with jobs and alcholism. In a big city alone I had to learn on my own how to keep my siblings behaved and nutured. My leadership skills kept expanding through out elementary. As I wasn't afraid to speak my mind and do actions upon myself. When I would get done with an assignment, I would chose another classmate I seen struggling and help them comprehend to their understanding. When we were finished I would encourage them to help another classmate struggling. My freshmen year I was elected Student Council class president. Also my freshmen year I was one of the first ninth graders to make the girls varsity basketball team. Everyday at practice I would run and practice my hardest. I would help encourage my classmen to do the same and this pointer allowed two other freshmen make the team. My sophmore year I transferred to a different school and this caused me to start over on another basketball team. I made the varsity squad as a starter because I would help motivate and teach the other girls how to do drills and basic fundamentals. My coaches assigned me as a team
Wallace, I have added some new aspects to my list of outstanding leadership skills. This includes being punctual, firm yet fair, and using easy to understand language. Leaders for a highschool activity should always be on time. If your leader is always late, that takes away from useable rehersal time, but if they show up when they are supposed to, you will be able to get done what needs to be done to make the program the best it can be. Also, future leaders really need to learn the concept of firm yet fair.
At this time of year, I begin to look back at my life after 12 hard years of schooling. Throughout the course of my life, there have been many ups and downs, but these up and downs is what made me who I am today. These influences have shaped my values, attitudes and beliefs towards life. There have been many important people and events that has impacted my life. One of which is family and the media.
I played a great deal of games in the first half but was never able to start. However, I played enough to earn my varsity letter my first year of high school football. After the season, determined and ready as ever I hit the weight room harder than anyone else to ensure I got bigger, faster, and stronger for the looming season. A goal is the object of an aim or desired result, but what drives one to accomplish them? Ambition causes people to strive to reach their intended goal. I had a goal to to make it onto a central Alberta rugby team. Although I knew I was not as strong, fast, or as skilled of a player as most girls trying out, I knew that if I wanted to be on the team, it would require a lot of hard work and many hours of training. So that’s what I did, Twice a week I would go to the gym, and I joined a rugby training program.
To begin with, I am the most vulnerable when I exercise in front of others, receive constructive criticism, and being rejected. I feel vulnerable when I exercise in front of others because I believe that people are criticizing me for being overweight. It is embarrassing when I am not able to match the pace of everyone else around me. In my mind, people are laughing at me because I cannot do something as simple as three push-ups. I am afraid to exercise in public because I am forced to look at myself in what seems to be a million mirrors.

Simple Messages, Life-time Results Growing up in a neighborhood with a farm across the street and parents allergic to fur, of course all animal lovers would think the same thing, just permanently borrow (steal) the animals and bring them home. Starting as a young girl, I would test my abilities and creativity to see how many animals it would take until my mom completely lost it, and how many hiding spaces I could find. (hiding spaces included: dryer, coolers, under sinks, etc) I started off with just the farm animals, then advanced in the neighbors hamsters or cats, which they were not too thrilled about about, enough to the point where I was banned from their house. In 2010 my contract was up with the Cleveland Cavaliers and I could return to Cleveland or go to another team. On the air on ESPN 's television show called "The Decision" I was going to make my choice. I made my choice and went with the Miami Heat to combine my talents with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. The Cleveland fans weren 't very happy with me so they set my jerseys on fire and ripped up posters that supported me. I had made the decision because I didn 't just want to be a star anymore.
It’s a game where everyone puts their hands in the middle of the circle and someone yells one, two, three ninja and everyone pulls their hands back and place them where they want them. After that you take turns trying to hit someone hand below the elbow and if you hit their hand, then the person that got hit has to put that hand behind their back. When both hands are out, then their are out. When I play ninja I was like one, two, three ninja, I tried hitting her hand and she like “ha ha” and then I was like “ha you missed me”, then I went and hit her hand and she was like At the end of the game she won, she took out both my hands and I was like you are pretty good at this.
Defining myself as an individual among my peers presented as a struggle throughout my childhood. While misconstrued, I believed that being individual meant subsisting separately from other people. Accepting my faults, while difficult, required me to challenge this archaic way of thinking. This task was achieved by reading numerous books regarding others struggles and the ways in which people develop solutions to dilemmas they face. A valued characteristic of mine, curiosity, sparked from a fascination in books as well as the ways they bring people together.

It was in the summer of second grade when my mother decided to bring me out of the country to visit my father and spend two months in Dubai.
"You 're going to be a mom," where the words that changed my life forever. A million questions and emotions surging through my mind at the speed of light. A mom, a title and responsibility that I would carry with great poise and grace, the way my mother had carried it while raising me. Three qualities I admired in my own mother and would carry with me into motherhood was her resilience, compassion and ability to be a parent and a friend.
