In my life, I have made a life long commitment to being involved in swimming. I have been in swim team, Junior Lifeguard, and water polo. Through swimming, I have shaped my character and the person I am today. Without being able to swim, I wouldn’t be as disciplined, determined, and committed as I am today. Through my characteristics of being committed and dedicated, I am more than prepared for college.
I would like to join college because, throughout my life, I have dreamed of going to a 4-year institute. I never thought for a second I wouldn’t want to go to college. In my opinion, college or university is the gateway to success and overall happiness. College is the place where you truly find out the kind of person you are and the type of

Starting in middle school, I failed 6th and 7th grade, and barely was able to pass and graduate 8th grade. But, in the beginning of high school, I finally woke up from the dream I was living in. I realized that college is just around the corner and that I need to really work hard for what I deserve. The 9th grade was a significant turning point in my life, I utilized tutoring whenever I didn’t understand the concepts in class, stayed extra hours after school, and I tried to plan, to the best of my ability, all my homework, tests, and projects. Overall, my grades in high school do not fully reflect my academic ability or potential because I know what I am capable of, but due to flaws in my characteristics that I am constantly trying to improve on, and adapt to, my grades right now, do not reflect all of my academic ability or potential.
Outside of my academic challenges, my family is constantly going through some type of financial struggle. In my years in high school, I have moved 3 times due to lack of money, and increase of det. My dad is the only one that works and money is and always is tight. I have moved to smaller and smaller houses to the point where my family moved in with my grandma, where I currently reside, because money was so tight, and the debt was so high. Early in the year of 2015, my Dad got a new, better job at Wal-mart, and our financial status isn’t
Ever since I was a young child, I attended International Schools. As a result of attending such schools, I began to feel more of a third culture child in my own country, rather than a normal Polish girl. I began to feel as if I was not fully from one place, but that I was from multiple locations, even though I lived in Warsaw my whole life. Being surrounded by people from different backgrounds and from all around the world taught me to be open-minded, to be aware that everyone has their own story and it gave me an international perspective.
Since I was young, I have always enjoyed learning because I felt like it offered me several opportunities in life. My parents and my family play a strong role in my love for science as they have encouraged me to choose what will make me happy. As a child, I always had different ideas about my future career, but after looking over most of my ideas, I realized most of them were related to the science field. I would like to believe that my choice of a career will be based off of my passion for something, but also the hope of helping people while doing it. Since the age of four, I moved to live in Egypt for quite some time.
At the end of this academic year I envision myself being a step closer to completing my B.A. and more aware of my leadership skills in my workplace. My goal as a student is to continually learn and improve my character through knowledge and theory. 2. Now-focus: What are the results that you are currently getting as a student at the University of Manitoba and in this class? Are you satisfied with the results you are getting?
1) I think I have been doing it for a long time. My professional area, IT, requires that the I research, analyze, answer and make presentations on a lot of subjects. The meaning of this question is that I need to be in control of what I learn. I am free to research and to manage my time. Also, I have the autonomy to choose where, when and how to search for information or to complete my tasks.
I always struggle to answer when people ask me what I want to do with my life. What does one want to be remembered for? There is no doubt many that doing something memorable will always be on someone’s agenda. I want to be remembered for doing something exceptional with my life. I want to have a positive impact and benefit other people.
Throughout my high school years and beyond I want to accomplish these contributions. I want to become a better person and raise awareness on the outcome that little things can do to our environment. For my community I want to not only make the community better, but also others and I. It very important to become a better person to your community and see the entire picture of littering. Because little negative things can make a huge impact on the community, so I want to focus on doing little positive things for our community.
Have you ever wondered what the world will be like without medicine? What would it be like to live with no hope for the future if you ever became the victim of a disease or an injury of some sort? If you did, then you most likely realized how important the role of medicine is in the lives of human beings. To my family and I, medicine has been a gift that has allowed us to remain alive and healthy together.
Computers are the driving force of the 21st century. It is down to the advance systems that programme the codes like HTML and JAVA, which enable the core of our society to function. Without such advancements in technology we would not have the efficient services we have today. It is through the study of information and computation that the discipline can be explored further. Within the Business world the information technology used is ever changing and I'll like to be apart of this changing process.
I believe music is a vessel for personal growth and achievement. Through music, students have the ability to develop valuable life skills that are necessary for becoming a member of society. Therefore, it is my job as a music educator to connect the power of music with students. Through varied instruction and a well developed curriculum, students can grow as both a musician and a person. I believe supporting students gives the ability to achieve great things, both inside and outside the musical realm.
When I first enrolled as a college student at Florida International University, I had a different mindset when it came down to exploring my options. Which were meeting new people, marketing myself, and improving the qualities I lack in. Beforehand, I wasn’t really intrigued in getting involved, expanding myself as a person, and trying to get my name out in the real world. It was more like attending school, getting my assignments done, and going home to continue my average life. Until I began researching, attending workshops, listening to my professors, and realizing that it is not about the grades you make, more like the hands you shake.
What I plan for my future is to become a project leader/manager. However, while in college, I am looking into reputable organization I can work with to build my creditablility, and find a mentor that can guide me toward what I want to be become. I have been affiliated with ASCE, The American Society of Civil Engineers, and Engineers without Borders, which have exposed me to different volunteer work that you can do as an engineer and community member. One of the organization I would like to become a member of, hopefully soon, is Habitat for Humanity, because they do great volunteer work and is an association I would like a part of. Joining such organization isn’t just helping me expose myself in my field, but it also allows me to build my resume.
Have you ever thought about dropping out of high school? If so, then read this essay, maybe you will change your mind. What is education to you. Education to me is just as important to me as air. You never know how much college will help you in your future.
Starting from age of 13, I have been practicing music with well-known masters. As a matter of fact, when I was in high school my focus was more on music and sports rather than on my education. However, I started to like computer programming while I started my associate degree and that was a turning point for me to get motivated to continue my education and earn my bachelor’s and master’s degrees. I have always loved music and that was the reason to relate computer programming and new technologies to music. For instance, the final project of my Associate degree was “Designing a website for teaching music instruments”, and the title of my master’s thesis was “Music E-Learning”.
Before I went to the career institute, my dream job was to work at Edelman Public Relations as there Senior Account Supervisor in either the Chicago or New York office. The responsibilities of this job includes solving any problems that may arise internally and externally, manage budget while simultaneously checking for quality work and using third party influencers when needed. I planned to reach these goals by doing more internships that focus more on the solving problems and using influencers. I was planning on taking more finance classes to learn more on how to manage a budget and use excel at a more advanced level. I planned to network more that way I can have more people to connect with when necessary.
Mimicking the way companies are run by business leaders, as a child, I would organize a “business” where I collect candy on Halloween, and use it to obtain a profit from family members and neighbors. I have always been fixated with the idea of owning a business that has the ability to create products or services that will make people satisfied. The appeal of building a new business and the ability to gain a profit introduced my interest to become involved in business. I would like to expand on my knowledge of entrepreneurship and gain experience in creating and distributing a product.
