Illegal Aliens
With the 2016 election decided the United States will go through some major changes. We have all heard that the most popular but controversial saying “build a wall!” Leaving the U.S. split between the hard core americans who were born and raised here against the illegal aliens who walked over thinking that we owe them something. From pushing them out of the way, to them not knowing our language and getting mad when we don’t know theirs. More and more illegal aliens are coming into our country each and everyday thinking that they can get all of the same opportunities that United States legal residents have. Illegal aliens should not be allowed to work, attend school or get health care in the U.S. A little girl goes walks into her classroom and start her education for the day.One problem the teacher has to stop every five mintes to try to explain the lesson to the child that doesn't speak any english. We are hurting our own children by letting these kids go to school by taking the learning time away from our kids just so they can get caught up. “According to the Pew Research Center’s Hispanic Trends Project, 6.9 percent of K-12 students had parents of illegal immigrants in 2012” (Strauss) These people are bringing

Why can’t he find hard labor work anywhere? One reason most hard laid jobs are taken by illegal immigrants. “One recent estimate by researchers at the Pew Hispanic Center puts the number of illegal aliens in the workforce at 8 million out of an overall population of 11.2 million illegal aliens” (Passel) Eight millions jobs taken from our people who work everyday to feed their family and our U.S. legal residents. The United States has always been the strongest country in the world no matter the ups for downs but if we can not pay our own residents to build and start a family how can we expect them to make this country even
When most people hear the words “illegal immigrant”, they think of bad people coming across the border to the United States and creating problems. Whether it’s from transporting drugs or taking a lot of job positions. What most people don’t think about is that some of those illegal immigrants that come into the United States are coming to have a better life. They want to have a fresh start and work their way up. A lot of those immigrants come to the US at a young age which leads us into the idea of the Dream Act.
Illegal immigration has raised the question: should illegal aliens stay in America? By letting them stay, they pose as a potential threat of copious issues. Some Americans postulate that everyone deserves a chance at a better life, and then there are some Americans that do not desire foreign invaders inside their home country. The issue is that many immigrants are drawn to America like a magnet because of the American dream. The conception of this is to live a vibrant and prosperous life, by hard work and dedication.
According to a study released last year by the Pew Hispanic Center, as of 2008, 11.9 million illegal immigrants lived in the United States, more than triple the 3.5 million who lived in the country in 1990 (Izumi). Immigration throughout the years has become a major issue in the U.S because of too many immigrants entering the country year after year. The U.S has come to a point whether they should deport the immigrants back to their country. Believe it or not, these immigrants are a big contribution to the U.S. If it wasn’t for them, the U.S economy wouldn’t be where it stands now.
Although statistics are not easy to come by, it is estimated that there are 10.8 million undocumented immigrants living in the United States of America today. Mexicans make up the majority at 62%. Next, in the top ten, and in descending order are immigrants from El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, The Philippines, India, Korea, Ecuador, Brazil and China. Most of the Mexican illegal immigrants have settled in California, Texas and Florida.
Illegal immigrants evidently have had the ability to leach off of the American government, due to Obamacare. Illegal immigration is without a doubt one of the most attention needing problems the United States faces. The adversity devised from the jobs that illegal immigrants have apprehended from US citizens is formidable. President Trump has promised that he will reform the immigration laws and following his presidential campaign promise, building a large wall that separates Mexico and The United States. Building the wall reassures the population that we are indeed safe, we are a powerful country and there is no free ride in the land of hope and possibility.
Now President-Elect, Donald Trump, wishes to send illegal immigrants back to their home country. This has created controversy between the candidates in the election as well as the citizens of the United States. A diverse population believes that we should not grant illegal immigrants amnesty because they have broken our immigration laws. Allowing illegal immigrants citizenship is not the rule of American, legal immigration is. However, others believe that it is “inhumane” and “unrealistic” to deport over 11 million immigrants back to the native country when they have families and lives here in the United States.
“Republicans have agreed to fund the agency but also want to use a spending bill to block implementation of Mr. Obama’s executive action on immigration, announced in November” (Timiraos n.pag). Republicans call Obama soft on immigration even though the first six years of being in office more than 2 million undocumented immigrants were deported. Republicans would rather do nothing but look busy even if that means blocking the Democrats side, “Nothing gets dealt with, nothing gets solved” (GOP n.pag). Republicans didn’t want to be seen as backing down but eventually they had to step back and focus on other issues. Obama’s Immigration Reform is not what Republicans label it as, “This is not amnesty.
In today’s world, Illegal aliens are coming over from Mexico or Canada and depriving U.S citizens occupation from hard working America’s and we must not allow illegal immigrants to continue doing this and we must stand up for our nation. The American people deserve a better opportunity for themselves and their families regardless of them recommence and shouldn’t be offered to illegal immigrants America business is being taking over by immigrants because they will work for less money destroying hard working Americans their jobs. There had been research done at the Pew Hispanic Center that 8.5 million jobs were encountered by alien workers. The highest rates were California and Texas combining a total of 3.2 million (Illegal Aliens).
In this world, there are two different kinds of people. Those who believe that everyone has the right to come and should be treated equal, and their those who disagree and don 't want those people like immigrants to come in just because they think they are going to bring huge problems into their country. Illegal immigrants aren’t animals that should be treated differently, there human beings who needs to be treated as equal citizens if their illegal or not it really doesn 't matter. Those who don’t want them here are wrong and shouldn 't call themselves human citizens or even Americans at all. Even though some immigrants do bring problems and crimes for some they don 't. Many people don 't realize what many immigrants face, go through in life, or why they are here other than coming for a better life for them and
“We always hear about the rights of democracy, but the major responsibility of it is participation.” (Marsalis). Politics influences almost everything we do in our lives and how we do it. Therefore, political participation in the American government, a democracy, is the best way to be the change you want to see in your community and in your country. One small yet important and effective way to do this is by contacting your government and voicing your opinions, and when I wanted to raise the issue of immigration reform for the DACA recipients, I researched the issue, wrote a letter, and sent it.
“The American story is a story of immigration. I would be the last person who would say immigrants are not important to America.” — Phil Graham, circa 1960. This quote may be from the mid-20th century, but it keeps its significance with the everlasting controversy on immigration and immigration laws. However, this is not the only time that the United States has experienced immigration controversies.
There are a lot of controversial issues surrounding this country. Whitin all those controversial issues there 's the “issue” of illegal immigration. I 'm sure we 're all familiar with the term “illegal immigration”. We’re always told about how bad it is. Don 't get me wrong, it is bad but it 's not done with the intention of hurting someone else but to try and change their future.
However, the lack of authorization to legally work in
It takes an abundant amount of time, money, and paperwork to legally immigrate to the United States. The first step of the immigration process is obtaining a visa, a step that was difficult for my parents. There are multiple types of visas, depending on the purpose why one wants to move to the United States, such an employment, family, refugee, immigration, and marriage visa. My father first applied here as an immigrant, and when he arrived in the United States, my mother applied for a marriage visa to join my father to start their new lives together. They both went to the United Nations office in Baghdad, Iraq, a complicated six-hour drive from Slemani, Kurdistan to proceed with the preliminary steps.
For decades, immigration has been a problem for the United States. Due to the people traveling from their native lands to the United States seeking a better life for themselves, and more primarily for the family that has come with them. Immigration is the action of settling into a country of which one is not native. Despite the many legal immigrants not every immigrant enters the country with legal documents and most of these illegal immigrants are poor and uneducated. Some undocumented immigrants commit crimes such as drug smuggling, or terrorism.
