I still remember the first Time I stood before a Planned Parenthood clinic for a few hours to support the right to life. I personally have performed many protesting actions against abortion. I have
picketed in front of Planned Parenthood.gone to pro-life masses. attended numerous right to life
conferences, and other pro-life actions. I do these things to support my beliefs, and extend support
to those who are confused and considering abortion.
At the abortion mill, we said the rosary together. We formed a continuous circle of people walking
around and around praying. We had mixed reactions from the crowd. Some people honked the
horn, followed by the thumbs up. Some people honked the horn, followed by a different finger

Either way, my being there affected that person. This is just one way of aiding in the fight
against abortion.
Whenever I fight for life, I feel like I am making a difference. Anyone can make a difference, no
matter who they are. It is so easy to help in this just cause. Just your being there can make the
difference in a young woman’s choice for whether her baby lives, or dies. Most women who
consider abortion, do so as a last resort, or even against their will. When they show up at the clinic,
they are very unsure, and need guidance. Imagine being in her position, then seeing large numbers
of protesters gathered outside for such a just cause. This is the last chance for her to make the right
decision, and your presence and support may be the deciding
The Constitution was written to give the United States government structure. The Constitution grants rights to the federal government, but also to the individual people. The Griswold v Connecticut case first came about from a law enacted in 1879 by the state of Connecticut. The law stated “Any person who uses any drug, medicinal article or instrument for the purposes of preventing conception shall be fined not less than forty dollars or imprisoned not less than sixty days”. This prevented people in the state of Connecticut to be unable to use any type, or method of birth control.
Dear Mrs. Ballweg, I am writing to let you know that I oppose the $3.5 million reduction of funding for Planned Parenthood legislation that you have voted for. I appreciate the time and effort you and your staff have devoted to this issue, and I know you have given this issue a lot of thought. About 80 percent of Planned Parenthood’s users are over age 20, and 75 percent have incomes below the poverty line. Planned Parenthood estimates it prevents more than 620,000 unintended pregnancies each year, and 220,000 abortions.
Austin, Texas—Texas announced on Monday, Oct. 19, 2015 that it would be removing Medicaid funding to all clinics located in the state of Texas after a recent investigation of undercover videos discussing the sale of fetal tissue were released. Planned Parenthood clinics received a letter from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission Office of the Inspector General notifying affiliates that they are "no longer capable of performing medical services in a professionally competent, safe, legal, and ethical manner." This move comes from a recent investigation, ordered by Republican Governor Greg Abbott, of released undercover videos from an anti-abortion organization highlighting the discussion of sale of aborted fetal tissue. This decision hopes to provide improvement of health
I am a social work student at Frostburg State University and I have completed a policy analysis on the defunding of Planned Parenthood. I oppose defunding of Planned Parent because I believe it serves a good purpose in communities. Defunding of Planned Parenthood would remove all federal funding and allow states to take away state funding from them. Without the 500 million dollar yearly funding that Planned Parenthood receives they will have to shut down a numerous amount of their clinics and many of the nine million clients will not have anywhere to go to for preventive and family planning services. In 2012, Texas stopped funding Planned Parenthood with state aid.
Abortion Abortion is a medical way to end a pregnancy. It is performed at clinics or at home, with the latter being very dangerous. Methods practiced at clinics include getting the fetus vacuumed out, inducing a false and early labor, taking medicine to induce the fetus out. The safety of a procedure is completely dependant on the individual who is performing it. An unskilled medic will result in an unsafe procedure, and vise versa.
Throughout history Planned Parenthood has been in the spotlight of the court. In 1973, the supreme court case Roe v. Wade made headlines when it “ruled unconstitutional a state law that banned abortions except to save the life of the mother” (McBride) The case was brought up by Jane Roe, who said that banning abortions was in direct violation with her 14th amendment right to privacy.
This is a dope standing in violation of every moral precept expected of caring, competent Americans. And, this is what Planned Parenthood wants us to respect and continue to support with our tax dollars. Abortion is nothing short of a filthy disgusting abomination that disgraces America around the world and shames us before God. It’s a cruel demonstration of man’s inhumanity, it is enriching dishonorable doctors ... and it must be terminated immediately! There is no doubt that the Roe v. Wade decision was never intended to create enormous profits for the Planned Parenthood organization or a payoff for despicable
Despite the beneficial projects Planned Parenthood has participated in, riots have broken out against the facility. According to The Daily Signal, “Students for Life of America organized ‘Women Betrayed’ rallies nationwide to protest taxpayer funding for the nation’s largest abortion provider” (Scanlon). The protests could eventually lead to a decrease in funding for Planned Parenthood. The riots do not only affect the business, they also affect the patients. On June 28, 2014, a six-hour, non-violent protest broke out in front of the Boston Planned Parenthood.
Availability of health care to poor women, and the need for contraceptives to prevent pregnancies rather than need abortions. But if Planned Parenthood wants to keep its funding and continue to provide abortions then it has to separate the two services, and provide evidence federal funding isn't going towards abortions. I believe abortion should be legal, but I also believe people who don't believe in it shouldn't have to pay for
About 10,000 people assembled at the State House in Columbia, South Carolina, to join in "Stand with God, Pro-Family Rally," with Republican presidential candidates Ted Cruz and Rick Perry along with several US senators and pastors from across the state. The hot topics at the rally were religion and the issues of abortion and same-sex marriage, with participation of people from neighboring states of North Carolina and Georgia. "Our nation is in crisis right now. But I want to tell you there is a spirit of revival that is sweeping South Carolina, that is sweeping the country.
Planned Parenthood is a National issue fighting for abortion access, giving women facing an unintended pregnancy must have access to safe, legal abortion services. Birth control and the fact all people deserve access to birth control and other preventive care, health care equality and the idea all people should have equal access to reproductive health care. For years politicians in Congress and statehouses across the country have attacked Planned Parenthood’s patients’ access to care. But I believe Planned Parenthood’s health centers provide high quality, affordable reproductive health care, to 2.4 million people across the country. When politicians talk about defunding Planned Parenthood, they really mean depriving patients who depend on public
Back in December 2013, the Michigan Senate Minority Leader, Gretchen Whitmer, told her colleagues in Lansing a story that she did not want to tell. Years ago she was a victim of rape who felt enormous relief that she was not pregnant and forced to consider an unwanted pregnancy from a rapist. No response was uttered by a single member of Michigan's overwhelmingly Republican-dominated, male legislature. Nevertheless, only hours before the Christmas recess, and without holding hearings or having any real debate whatsoever, Michigan’s state legislature passed some of the most backwards anti-abortion legislation ever seen in this country. They passed an act that bans abortion health insurance coverage for incest and rape.
Flippen 1 Shaunice Flippen Planned Parenthood is considered a public interest group, which are citizen activist groups that try to represent what they deem to be the interest of the public at large. The most recent controversy in the news today is the proposal by the Republican Party to defund Planned Parenthood for one year, which is expected to fail, which could shut down the government. President Obama and Senate Democrats are willing to shut down the federal government to ensure that tax dollars keep flowing to the Planned Parenthood organization, one of their biggest political allies and financial contributor of millions of dollars to the Democratic Presidential campaign and Party. Lobbyist who works for the Planned Parenthood
One position is that defunding this organization will save taxpayers’ money to use elsewhere. It is said that Planned Parenthood has “…nearly 530 million in annual funds” (US News & World Report). This amount of money could easily go to other social issues, not as controversial. In addition, there are many politicians who have spoken out against it and the Commemorative Coin Act was taken off the table that helped research funds for Susan G. Komen, a supporter of Planned Parenthood. The contradicting position is that women also have health care rights and do not want those to be defunded by the government.
With almost half the nation divided among their views, abortion remains one of the most controversial topics in our society. Since Roe v. Wade, our views in society as well as following court cases have been progressing toward the woman’s right to choose. The precedent set by Roe v. Wade made the Supreme Court acknowledge that it cannot rule specifically when life begins and it also affirms that it is the woman’s right to have an abortion under the 14th Amendment. In the 1st Amendment, the Establishment Clause forbids the government from passing laws “which aid one religion, aid all religions, or prefer one religion over another”. Many Christian pro-lifers use their religious beliefs to dispute when life begins.
