Adoption takes place in different subject such as “the act or process of adopting a child, the act or process of beginning to use something new or different, or the act or process of giving official acceptance or approval to something” (merriam webster), but in this case I am talking about the act or process of adoption or putting children up for adoption. There are many parents who are not ready to take care of their expecting child, and also many parents who want a child to love, but for some reason can not conceive a child of their own. There are options when this type of situation happens, for those who are not ready for their child, adoption is one option and for those who can not conceive fertility treatments is also an option. Sometimes the mother gets to choose the family they want their child to be put up for adoption and raised by. When mothers do this they sign papers before the delivery of the baby and as soon as the baby is born, it is for the adoptive parents to make decisions for the baby and it is legally their baby. You would be surprise how many people are in want of a child and even keep a profile online for parents to see them and to want their child to grow up with them. This action is a much better option than the abortion of a child. Yes, abortion is a very commonly used action, not only is it not free, but it does come with side effects. Studies and reports of psychological problems show that after going through an abortion it has been criticized because of the difficulty in separating previous conditions and the circumstances of the un- planned pregnancy from the effect of the procedure, and the termination. (After Abortion, 1).For some people it makes it harder to get pregnant after having an abortion, and if not done properly it can cause severe damages, sometimes people get these damages over time in a slowly manner and eventually they can start to tell after time. Abortion is a horrible action of killing your own child, the big question is why not just put the child up for adoption? The answer is that many are teenagers and others are not ready either mentally or economically and believe abortion to be their only option. Some other mothers just want to abort because they do not want to lose their body figure. People decide to abort a lot of the times because they do not think things through and do not realize they could put their child up for adoption. One might never know how much joy another family that wanted or maybe needed a little peace of love might feel. By adoption you are preventing a death of an
It shouldn’t be a baby-buying process for people who can’t conceive. For example, the most common adoptee parent that should hold off on adopting are infertile people. People who can’t conceive but want to, need to heal from that trauma. Instead, there are lots of cases of intertile parents adopting to get a child. To reiterate, adoption shouldn’t be about getting your hands on a child.
Although many people are not happy with this decision, this is what the courts decided, so it is the reality of the situation. Due to factors such as cost, emotional consequences, and physical consequences, abortion should be the last case scenario. Following research, it can be concluded that adoption should be more readily available in America than abortion. “Adoption allows a birthparent to continue with her life, finish school and achieve other goals while knowing that her baby is being cared for. Adoptive children can grow up knowing they are in a stable home with a permanent family” (Brannagan n.p.).
There are so many couples in this country that can't have kids. Thats what I don't get. The women that get abortions should think about the women that can't get pregnant and want to start a family. Think about how happy they would be if you gave them the most amazing gift they would ever get in there life. A women I know and love very much tried so hard on having a baby.
Instead of having an abortion, women can choose a more beneficial option, such as giving the baby up for adoption. When women decide to get an abortion, they don’t think about adoption because of the long process, even though it can help other families who can’t have children. For example “It’s logical that anti-abortion organizations seeking to prevent abortions and promote traditional family structures would aggressively promote adoption, but this connection is often overlooked…”(Joyce). Many women that get pregnant with an unwanted child usually look into having an abortion first rather than going through the long process of pregnancy and giving the baby up for adoption. Furthermore, “In President Obama 's speech… he suggested that one solution to lowering abortion rates is making abortion more available”(Joyce).
They can give the child a chance at living life instead of “murdering” them. Another reason some people don’t believe in abortions, is that it can possibly lead to medical complications, for example, ectopic pregnancies, miscarriage, or pelvic inflammatory disease. (Lowen 1). It is believed that if someone were to get an abortion they would come to regret that decision and suffer psychologically after. Others stress that someone should only have sex when they are ready to deal with the consequences of intercourse.
Abortion Abortion is the ending of pregnancy by abolishing a fetus or embryo before it can survive outside the uterus. Abortion is a very controversial topic, for example, one side of this topic believes abortion is cruel and committing murder, while the other side believes that since the fetus or embryo isn 't developed enough to be considered a living human being yet, that abortion is not commiting murder. Despite this information, there is a lot more to abortion than the opinion of it being “right” or “wrong”. According to “Students for life” who are pro life, about 1 million abortions are executed each year in the US. That data adds up to 22% of pregnancies ending in abortion.
Rape has been a big reason why women abort the fetus, stigma also contributes to why young women abort their fetus due to criticism, in most culture it is wrong for a young woman to be pregnant out of wedlock. Economic issues including poverty and insufficient funding have promoted abortion. Many young mothers have opted to do an abortion citing the inability to take care of the child once it is
My stance on abortion is that it should be illegal, unless there are health risks involved, major ones. Other than that, I really do not feel you should get an abortion. There is always adoption. If you do not want the baby, then give it to someone who does.
Intercountry adoption involves two different countries, allowing a child to be transferred from one country to another. This chapter discusses on the overview of intercountry adoption as a child protection measure which is one of the alternative care options for children without families. The discussion includes the brief history and the concept of intercountry adoption. The examination further extends to other alternative care options care such as domestic adoption, foster care, kafalah of Islamic law and residential care. 2.2 BRIEF HISTORY Prior to the World War II, there was no adoption of a child in poor countries by prospective adoptive parents who come from the wealthy countries.
Based on duty ethics, it would be wrong to take away great opportunities from that child as no one knows the future, so one is not able to tell who that child could potentially become. Abortion would only rob the child of those
If someone is having relationship problems or might be a single parent. Along with that, the parent could be unemployed or might not be able to afford the needs of their child. Or their education/work might interfere and it isn't something they can give up. There is always the option of adoption, this isn’t the best choice for everyone. If there are health concerns with the pregnancy or some people think it isn’t the right thing for them to do (Brennan Center for Justice).
Abortion is the deliberate killing of the weakest and the most defenseless among us. No one has the right to take the life of another person, even an unborn child. Abortion usually ends up hurting the mother as the emotional effects become worse and worse. This problem is even more common when there is pressure by others on the woman to have the abortion, and she does so reluctantly. Adoption is a lot safer than abortion, if people knew the facts about abortion I bet they would rather give their child for adoption rather than having an abortion.
No matter how a baby was made an unborn baby is still considered a human being and no matter the situation that does not make a baby lesser of a human being. Even if a child is unwanted there is the alternative of putting the child up for adoption, there are many women in the world who cannot conceive and would love to have a child of their own. Abortion reduces the
This is the amazing point of adoption because giving the children the chance of living a normal life, is what every kid dreams of every night before they go to bed. Having to kill a child because a couple of parents wither didn’t plan for a child or came closer to having this child and found out that they couldn’t afford them. There will always be a family out there that is welcome to taking in a kid even if it is until they have a permanent home. Also there is the option of being foster parents, which is where couples who don’t necessarily want to take in a couple of kids full time, they could just have them for a short time while they find the perfect match of parents for this
INTRODUCTION Most persons think child bearing and parenthood is a natural process of life. Nobody ever thinks of nurturing an unrelated child. Even when infertile, they prefer to adopt a young infant so as to get the same experience as they would’ve gotten with a child of their own. They only resort to adoption of an older child when they have no option of younger ones.
