When developing a federal budget, difficult decisions must be made in order for there to be any progress. These decisions may vary depending on the individual’s goals and objectives at hand. Therefore, if today the budget would be approved, and I could choose to invest in either food stamps, solar energy, or nuclear arms development, I would chose to invest in food stamps.
Before I express my reasoning behind my decision of food stamps, allow me to explain the reasoning behind not choosing to invest in solar energy or nuclear arms development. In the department of energy, I have determined that while funding solar energy is important, it does not seem to be as important as feeding hungry citizens. In addition, in order for solar energy to

The main reason I did not choose to invest in this is because I do not support it. With the United States already holding around ten times the amount of opposing nations, I do believe we are perfectly fine with the amount we already possess and do not need any further development of anymore nuclear arms. In fact, we as a nation are still sending apologize to those in Japan for the nuclear bombing that they had received. In my personal opinion, morally and for our safety as well, there is no real need to increase the amount we already have. Furthermore, in order to build these nuclear arms there is a tremendous cost to both develop and maintain these arms (List of Pros and Cons of Nuclear Weapons 4). Lastly, the further development of these arms could strain relationship and cause additional tension between the United States and other nations around the globe.
In the simplest form, I would invest in food stamps because I have a great issue with individuals, especially children, being hungry. In America, “48.8 million people, including 13 million children live in households that lack the means to get enough nutritious food on a regular basis” (Child Hunger Facts 2). This is a major issue. In a prosperous country like the United States, there is no valid reasoning for human beings, especially children, to go
(1) I can see how you would say “several presidents that fit into this category but I read about two in particular.” if you are talking about raising the National Debt. Reagan more than doubled the National Debt, from$997,853 million in 1981 to $2,602,337 million in 1988 and GW Bush also more than almost doubled the National Debt going from $5,807,463 million in 2001 to $ 10,024,724 in 2007. When it comes to a discussion about National Debt, would please explain (I know you most likely will not reply) how President Reagan’s approval rating has anything to do with the topic?
After the end of the revolutionary war many patriots feared another abusive parliament and because of that they refused to give such power to the new union. Instead the authority remained in the states. After a short time the powerful states and weak national government had many problems. Right after declaring independence in 1776 congress invited the states to create a constitution. Although all states called for republics they had different ideas on where to have more authority.

Also, it can lead to inequality between the states and lead to damaging competition and rivalry between them.
2: Make less people unemployed. In Kansas, they were spending 5.5 million dollars on Food Stamps. Now they are spending 1.2 million dollars. This reform in food stamps would get people off the streets and working. It would save millions of dollars.
The Government is the ultimate ruler of the people, sets the ultimate laws of the land and says what goes and when not pleased uses all the means in their power to influence. The basic functions of the United States government are listed in the Constitution. Due to the immense power of our federal government, people often argue that it is too powerful and should be lessened. Sub further the state governments use a sum of power to do the same. There has been an effort to shift power from the federal government to the states.
Laura King, author of the “Young Migrants Making Perilous Trek to Europe Without Parents,” article in the Los Angeles Times stated, “He recalled the tearful goodbyes in Damascus, the Syrian capital when he swore to his brothers that he would guard their children's lives with his own.” In the article “Young Migrants Making Perilous Trek to Europe Without Parents,” by Laura King, she explains the difficult journey the refugees face explaining, that they are migrating to Europe, the reasons for leaving, and why no one is traveling with them, proving that they should leave for a better life. King states, the children are fleeing the country for fear of being forced to fight. These children shouldn’t be forced to fight!
Independence After much thought and consideration, I do think that the Federal Reserve System should be free of politics and political pressure. The positions that the Federal Reserve Board Members hold is a ginormous responsibility. Obviously, they play a HUGE role in our economy, and many may argue that that they hold too much power, but I disagree with that.
The united states is described as a federal democratic republic because we aren't ruled by any kings or queens like countries such as the united kingdom, Netherlands or morocco etc. a president is elected to run the country by the people. A federal government is a type of government made that includes states or provinces and the central government has some power to individual areas. Other countries that are a federal republic are Mexico, Germany, Argentina, Ethiopia and Switzerland . A federal democratic republic gives states the opportunity to make some decisions and control over their activities.
According to Farber (1981), "Despite the difficulties in cutting back, the need for substantial federal budget cuts are two reasons: first, cuts are essential in returning our nation back to a continuation of economic growth; and second, the administration has proposed a substantial increase in flexibility that would allow state and local governments to mitigate the harmful impact of the cuts. " Officials in many other government agencies including those at the federal, state, and local levels have also faced increased budgetary constraints. Although budgets have constricted, the workload of the court has continued to increase. I was given carte blanche to do what needs to be done to get our budget down 12% in expenditures. After cutting all
Interactions amid the provinces and the federal government, from constitutional issues to the most irresistible topics bang up-to-date in the country, are indemnified beneath the umbrella of “Federalism”. Authorities are shared so that on some matters, the state governments are decision-holders, whereas on the other matters, national government grasps the autonomy. In last twenty-five years, the upsurge of federal fiats on both governments, local and state, has shifted the power amongst state and national governments. Now, the national government is beginning to have more governance over the state’s engagements.
A common wish among Americans is if they were President they would change so much and do what is best for everyone. Now common sense suggest that this would most likely not happen. Because of the separation of powers created by the constitution the branches of government have the ability to keep each other in check. So this essay is going to be taken from the point of view that separation of powers gives the President a little more ability to pass what laws he wants without having to deal with the congress, senate, and the Supreme Court. With this in mind a controversial topic of today in our country is social services such as the welfare system and food stamps.
A budget surplus occurs when tax revenue is greater than government spending. Therefore, the government can use the surplus revenue to pay off the national debt. Budget surpluses are quite rare in modern economies because of the temptation for politicians to spend more money and cut taxes.
. Bureaucracy in general in considered to be an overbearing and redundant process, one of the reasons the public is constantly annoyed with the bureaucratic process is they consider it to be too big and overpowering. In the 1980’s the idea of downsizing the federal government came into fruition and ever since, “downsizing (has become) an inescapable part of politics at all levels of the American government.” (166).
There estimated cost is 1.8 billion dollars. That is more than the president's annual salary. The U.S. already suffers from an enormous national debt. Even yet, they continue to build these oversized nightmares. There is a quote that “in nuclear war all men are cremated equal”[unknown] which counters my opponent's opinion that Nukes are a good way to end a war.
