Part I Which of the concepts in these chapters was the most difficult for you? In 5-7 sentences, explain what you think you understand and ask 2-3 questions about things you know you don 't understand. Standard error of the mean I read the section on standard error of the mean (SEM) three times and unfortunately, this concept is difficult for me to understand. I do understand that the standard error of the mean is the standard deviation of a sampling distribution of means. I understand how to calculate the SEM (simply divide the standard deviation of the sample by the square root of the sample size minus one). I understand that SEM is not the same as standard deviation. I also recognize that if the sample size is increased, the standard error of the …show more content…
What is the 68-95-99.7 rule for normal distribution and how is it relevant? 2. What is the purpose of SEM and when is it applied? While researching this concept, my understanding is that SEM is used to measure the accuracy with which a sample represents a population, is this interpretation correct? 3. Are we required to calculate the SEM in our own research? Inference Techniques The textbook gives a great breakdown of each inference technique and provides detailed explanation of when it is acceptable to use a given technique. I understand the concepts, analysis of variance (ANOVA) and analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) in particular. I have seen both of these terms mentioned in numerous research articles but I never understood why researchers applied the technique to their study. Part II We will review your postings and answer your questions and clarify/correct anything that needs correcting. Part III Create one multiple choice test question, either from your own topic or one of your classmate 's topics. Provide 4 answers. Tell me why the correct answer is correct and why the incorrect answers are incorrect. 1. This occurs when a researcher fails to reject a null hypothesis that is

P4 – Describe the three structures of the skeletal muscle (Epimysium, Perimysium and Endomysium) There are three structures of the skeletal muscle: Epimysium is a thick layer of irregular connective tissue that pulls the entire muscle as well as protecting the muscle from friction that may be caused by other muscles and bones surrounding them. Also, it is the fibrous tissue which covers and surrounds skeletal muscles. The Epimysium carries on past the end of bones in order to create muscle tendons. Perimysium surrounds a bundle of muscle fibres, it is a casing of connective tissue.

The Little Seagull Handbook has really helped me to be able to answer those questions confidently. It helped me to understand things on my topics for my papers a lot easier. It put everything in an organized bullet point format and subsections to
This test is also called the Fisher analysis of variance, which is used to do the analysis of variance between and within the groups whenever the groups are more than two. If the Type one error is set to be .05, and there are several groups, each time a mean is tested against another there would be a .05 probability
Mark J. Sedgwick’s Sufism: The Essentials tries to explain and the real origins of Sufism, and the essentialities of Sufism by starting with an introduction about why Mark had chosen to write about Sufism because many Western texts do not give the real stories and definition of Sufism, as they said in some Western books that Sufism is separated from Islam which is not true at all. Thus, Mark J. Sedgwick’s book interpreted all inspects of Sufism and its history, to illustrate the real face of Sufism to the West, and to help understand the story, Mark Sedgwick decides to talk about the origins of Sufism. The author did an excellent work by dividing his book into five major chapters. Each chapter is a continuation of the last one.
