First Anthony carried a huge gym bag and a school bag. He was on the cross country team, so he had to come to the morning practice. After the practice, he always took a shower, out on the fresh cloth and take out his roller to relax his leg muscles. He was always dreaming about to become a national runner, earning his pride over others students. After he went to the classroom, he took out his protein shake and drank it to recover his muscles. He was born and raised in the United States, so he could not speak Korean very well. He was a party boy. He wore the different fashionable clothes every day and he did not care about school. All he cares was to have fun. However, due to korean traditionally strict education, his parents wanted him to maintain at least a 3.5 GPA. If he could not maintain this requirement, his parents will cancel all of his entertainment and his money resource. As the result, he always carried a amulet shaped like a pen around his neck with one word on it, paeseu, which means “pass” in Korean. The funniest thing was that he had a dance routine for every single test. During the final time, he did the dance three times and he said that was his respect for the biggest test of the year. I bet he cheated every single test because there was just no way he could get an A by watching TV shows on Netflix all day in the classroom. In summer school of my junior year, I was taking driver’s education and the last actual test required a third passenger to be in the car. I picked to write about Alvin Ailey because I feel like this is the decade and generation that his legacy died in because when it comes to dance no one thinks of Ailey as the founding father his dancing is a lost art.. Alvin Ailey was an amazing dancer and choreographer with his own unique dance style.
