To further the investigation, a synthesis of all the prior conclusions is necessary. As presented by the evidence above there is no doubt in mind that John Ramsey was the perpetrator in the death of JonBenet, his daughter and that Patsy Ramsey, his wife, helped him and together they covered up the crime. This is how JonBenet spent her last hours alive. It was late Christmas night when the Ramseys returned home from their holiday activities. JonBenet-- fell asleep in the car, was carried to bed by her father, who was the official last person to see her. It is recorded that the rest of the members of the family followed suit shortly after. The most logical theory about what happened after this point goes as followed; Once John Ramsey made sure everyone was sleep he went into JonBenet's room, once she was awake and realized what was going on JonBenet ran from her room. She went down the stairs and maneuvered around more stairs and doors to the basement, past the boiler room, and behind another door. Believing the JonBenet was going to run away and tell someone of what had been happening, John woke Patsy for help, once John explained Patsy helped him chase JonBenet into the basement once there the couple struggled to gain control of the persistent six-year-old and got shoved onto the wall leaving the scuff mark on the window. To stop her from struggling so much Patsy taped JonBenet's wrist, ankles, and mouth; this is how the fibers …show more content…
Due to the behavior record held by John is it strongly insisted that while trying to gain control of JonBenet the parents decided to put a cord collar around her neck and keep it tight with Patsy's paintbrush. Once JonBenet was still John Ramsey sexually assaulted her while Patsy went to check on their son and lay back in bed. Sometime during the assault JonBenet woke up and started struggling triggering her father smashing her head onto the floor, fracturing her skull. After he finished he called Patsy to help him clean up the mess caused, while trying to clean or put JonBenet back in bed they realized she was not breathing. Once this was called to attention Patsy panicked and John came up with a plan: stage a kidnapping. For the next few hours, John and Patsy Ramsey worked together in an attempt to elude the police with a kidnapping story until they could move the body out of their basement. Once the plan was in mind the duo each did their part; John washed the body and covered
JonBenet was the six-year-old daughter of Pasty and John Ramsey (Saferstein, 2015). This family, including JonBenet’s nine year old brother Burke, lived in Boulder, Colorado and sometime during December 25-26, 1996, JonBenet was murdered most likely inside the home (Saferstein, 2015). Pasty Ramsey maintains after a party with friends and family she put JonBenet to
There is a ton of speculation of what happened the night of Jonbenet's murder. The murder was never solved, and it will probably remain that way. On that dreadful night (December 25, 1996), Patsy and John came home from a Christmas party and found Jonbenet asleep. They took her
First is that an intruder broke into their home, wrote the note, and killed JonBenét. Next is the mother Patsy, who might have had a motive of jealousy from the attention her daughter received, and thus killed her and had John help cover it up. Lastly, Burke may have unintentionally murdered his sister by hitting her with a flashlight after she took his food and ran, but John and Patsy staged it to be as if someone else had kidnapped and murdered her. If the crime scene had not been contaminated, if family and friends spoke to the police further, and if Burke would have spoken in depth about his childhood relationship with his sister – the investigation may have had further evidence to go upon. Nonetheless, the Boulder County attorney declared on October 13th, 1999 that there was not enough sufficient evidence to declare anyone as the culprit.
In Jonbenét Ramsey’s autopsy, in the digestive tract, were small increments of pineapple. Jonbenét may have taken a piece of pineapple using her hands, causing Burke to release all of his anger. Burke, in an uncontrollable rage, would strike Jonbenét Ramsey in the head with the flashlight in the kitchen. With all of this evidence point to Burke Ramsey as the murderer, there is a shunned theory that an outsider infiltrated the Ramsey household and killed Jonbenét
JonBenét Ramsey, a six-year-old beauty queen daughter of Patsy Ramsey and John Ramsey found murdered in her home on December 26, 1998. This murder has yet to be solved, and as the years go by, the case seems to get colder and colder. As a result, there have been many conspiracy theories in this case. Many people have started to believe that an intruder murdered her, but what if it was someone in the house? Maybe someone very familiar with this home.
In March of 2021, ABC aired a 20/20 episode detailing the JonBenet Ramsey murder. This episode aired only 9 month prior to the 25th anniversary of this tragic murder in the Ramsey family. The morning of December 26, 1996, Patsy Ramsey wakes up to find a ransom note of the bottom steps of the back staircase in their home in Boulder, CO. Immediately following the discovery of the ransom note, Patsy calls 911 in a panic, explaining that her 6 year old daughter, JonBenet Ramsey had been kidnapped. Shortly after calling the police, Patsy’s husband, John Ramsey wakes up and tey both wait for the police to arrive.
Semen was found in JonBenet’s underwear and it was said that it was from the father or even 9-year-old Burke. When Patsy called 911 to report a missing persons report for JonBenet, there were voices heard in the background of the phone call found by in. A deep voice, believed to be the voice of John Ramsey, says, “We’re not speaking to you.” Patsy is then heard asking, “What did you do?! Help me, Jesus!”
Nobody knows exactly what is true and what is not. In 2006 John Mark Karr was arrested after confessing to the murder of Ramsey, however, fingerprints did not match samples that were found. The police that discovered the body of Ramsey later on spoke that the parents of the victim were suspicious and didn't seem to react how you would think. This led to a family theory that Patsy Ramsey, mother of the little girl, accidentally killed JonBenet in a fit of rage after a bed-wetting
In August, 2016 former police chief Mark Beckner held an AMA,ask me anything, on Reddit. Beckner was asked questions about the Ramsey case and was unaware that his answers were available to the world. The ask me anything session on Reddit sparked the reopening of the case. JonBenet was the daughter of Jhon and Patsy Ramsey. Patsy Ramsey also had her spot as a beauty queen.
JonBenet was in several pageants and was known all over the nation for her glittery costumes and performances, by the time of her demise she had five titles to her name: Little Miss Colorado, Little Miss Charlevoix, Colorado state All-Star kids Covergirl, American Royal Miss, and National Tiny Miss Beauty(Worthen). On the morning of December 26, 1996, a call was received: Patsy Ramsey had called police early that morning to report JonBenét missing. Patsy had found a ransom note demanding $118,000 and promising that the kidnappers would contact the Ramseys before 10:00 a.m.( Puffer-Rothenberg) she was found strangled with a fractured skull in the basement of her parents home hours after the kidnappers did not call (Puffer-Rothenberg). Upon completion of the report, it is clear that an examination of the unsolved murder is necessary. No stone will be left unturned; no avenues left unexplored.
The cause of death would be known as “asphyxia by strangulation associated with craniocerebral trauma. Also, there were signs of sexual assult but they are not sure when this happened. Days after JonBenets murder, there was strange behavior of her parents this included an interview they had. On January 1, 1997, Patsy and John Ramsey went on CNN news for an exclusive interview, just after 24 hours after they buried JonBenet. During this interview, they took about 27 minutes to tell their experience of the morning that Miss.
Starting with Patsy going downstairs to make coffee like she always did. While walking down the stairs, Patsy noticed the ransom note waiting for her, explaining that if they followed directions they would safely get JonBenet back. When police officer Rick French arrived at the Ramsey home around 6 a.m. he did a search routine for what he thought was a kidnapping. “From the beginning [French thought] it was obvious that [he] was called to investigate what was initially reported as a kidnapping [which] allowed contamination of evidence that might have been found at the crime scene” (Church). When the police left to get the search warrant to search the house, Patsy called some of her friends to come over and grieve with them.
When I looked at the handwriting of the ransom note and the handwriting of Patsy, there are some similarities, within the letters. Any individual can make their handwriting look sloppy, but there will always be similarities. I believe Patsy could have been irritated by something that JonBent could have possibly done, which caused Patsy to hit JonBent with a forceful object that could have caused serious brain damage. Instead of taking JonBent to the hospital she decide to stage a crime sense of a kidnap and murder instead. If Patsy did murder her daughter she got away with the
