Time management:
Time management is a very crucial component if you are willing to have a productive lifestyle. To be honest, I have always had issues with managing my time efficiently. This problem had become a huge obstacle once I got into college. Thus, attending a lecture that focuses on time management helped me a lot with this problem by introducing me to different aspects related to time management: planning, SMART goals, and important/urgent matrix.
Learning to make a specific plan for my daily tasks and make a to-do list to make my day as productive as possible is something very helpful which was advised to me by the instructor of this lecture Mr. Irfan. What I mean by specific is that it is time-specific and nature-specific. In addition, I have always heard of the term SMART but I did not give it my attention because I thought it would be just like many other useless methods of time management. However, the way this lecture illustrated this term or method is very unique and has helped me in implementing this method in my daily life. For instance, a goal should be time-based, for years I used to set goals or tasks and never put a deadline or timeframe, so I keep procrastinating until I lose track of time and eventually finishing the task in as imperfect way or not finishing it at all. So after being exposed to SMART, now each time I set a new goal or task, I directly put a deadline or timeframe. Another amazing thing from the lecture is important/urgent matrix to
Skills that I have contributing business IT skills This IT skill that I have means I can work on the computers much more easily and effectively. It will save a lot of time. I can work with many different Microsoft software’s such as Microsoft Office, excel, PowerPoint and so on. This way I can simply write up reports, documents and working on the finance by creating cash flows.
This year I set out to improve this very important skill. Time management is a skill that will be important all throughout your life. In the past I use to just barely turn my assignments in by the deadline or even sometimes past it. I used a planner and reminders on my phone to help me with this. I was tired of always feeling rushed to finish assignments or even chores around my house that I googled ways to improve on not being distracted which contributed to my time management.
Time management has been one of the most substantial hurdles of my scholastic and professional career. Many of us waste our time on things that are neither important nor necessary, instead of using that time for something of that is meaningful. To capitalize on the use of time management strategies and reach my Doctoral Business Administration (DBA) program goals. I will execute two specific time management strategies, for example, accessing and planning a weekly schedule while adjusting my daily schedule. Time management will help me maximize the use of my time and reach my ultimate DBA goals of completing each assignment.
I have been writing important due dates and events on them. Prior to this, I would remember information solely through memorization. The planner has helped to improve my organization skills. No longer do I complete the assignment the night before and my grades demonstrate the change. In order to make sure I have sufficient time to complete each task, I have formulated time frames.
On the Topic of Missions For Christians, the topic of Missionary work is always something that is met with mixed opinions. Some believe that we have fulfilled our duties of bringing people to Christ, some believe that you can only reached lost people by going to other countries, and some believe that there is a larger calling in our own neighborhoods. I think that as long as there is still one person in this world who does not know the Lord as their true Savior, then we still have mission work to do. I do not believe that it is necessary for all believers to travel to other countries to help bring the lost to God. As Christ’s followers we have to bring as many people to Him as possible.
Kristi Hedges is, self-purportedly, “good at managing [her] time” (para. 1). Considering her background espoused in Time Management for the Time Challenged as an “author, leadership coach” (para. 18), and successful guide to clients in need of time managing techniques (para. 3) the aforementioned assertion may be well founded. Unfortunately the rigours of life, “work, travel, and family”, overtook her, and inspired her to provide the wealth of experience at her fingertips for the general public (para. 4). In Time Management Kristi provides readers with three time management implementation strategies.
The Importance of Being On Time Respect is something that we all desire, but earning it is no easy task. One of the most respectable traits anyone can have, civilian or soldier can have is time management. When you report for duty, or be on time for your date, time management should be a must. By not managing your time well, you could disrupt not only the course of your day, but others as well. Keeping your word and showing up on time shows that you are reliable and appreciate the other person's time as well.
So being on time can save you from a life time of headache and can help get you to your goals in
Isaac Rodgers 24-Jun-15 The Importance of Being on Time and Organized For Appointments Time management is important because it shows that you care making the appointments on time. When making an appointment that is one thing that you should be aware of and an appointment is considered to be your place of duty when scheduled. The seven army values can be applied when it comes to appointments. Starting with loyalty you are saying that you are going to make it to your place of duty in return making you loyal.
Being on time shows respect. The fact that you showed up to work late is disrespectful and unbecoming. Punctuality at work is important. The last time we talked you made me a promise that this behavior would stop. Considering your place showing up late to work must stop.
Psychology today explain to time “is the ability to plan and control how you spend the hours in your day to effectively accomplish your goals.” French philosopher Voltaire bookr "Zadig: A Mystery of Fate" explain the concept of time management that “What, of all things in the world, is the longest and the shortest, the swiftest and the slowest, the most neglected and the most regretted, without which nothing can be done, which devours all that is little and ennobles all that is great?”Although time is known between the beginning and ending of an action, it is a relative and universal concept. Yet itis difficult to describe precisely. Furthermore, time shows differ to all society, and change different parts of a societyand interms of their own
Psychology is defined as “the scientific study of the mind and behavior” (Introduction to Psychology, 2015). Psychology provides an overview of biology and behavior, sensation and perception, learning, memory, intelligence, language, motivation, emotion, abnormal psychology, and therapy (PSY 102 Course Syllabus, 2018, pg 1). Because psychology allows for a better understanding of how the mind and body work, this knowledge can be beneficial for any field of study or career. The theoretical and practical understanding of the basics of psychology can help with decision-making, critical thinking, stress management, time management, better understanding of others, improving communication, and even achieving goals and objectives, all components that allow someone to be more successful throughout their life. Throughout this course I hope to gain a greater understanding of historical and theoretical perspectives of human behavior and development (PSY 102 Course Syllabus, 2018, pg 2).
WORKPLACE DECISION MAKING- MY REFLECTION 'S Dealing with ambiguity comes naturally to us humans, and it starts with learning our first language as an infant. The effective decision making is an iterative learning process acquired by relying on experiences from our own past reflexes and also learning from those of others. The past couple of years presented an interesting mix of challenges in my workplace, including complex projects with tight deadlines, budget cuts and building out teams at short notice later. One such project involved automation of calculations for economic risk capital, which is a loss buffer maintained by banks.
It involves setting goals and managing your time. Developing my motivation and concentration skills will help me to overcome the lure of procrastination. Effective self-management will help me to avoid stress and provide me with more opportunities to get times to finish my
