Walt Disney would sit on a bench and ask children what rides they liked the most. He gathered all of his information and knew it was time to start making Disneyland. Walt Disney wrote a memo to the Disney production designer. The memo described a detailed and fully formed vision of the park. Then Walt Disney talked about his visions of Mickey Mouse Park. The construction of Disneyland was supposed to be built on an eight-acre plot. They soon realized Disneyland needed more land and bought a lot of one hundred sixty acres of trees. They chopped down all the trees on the lot to build Disneyland. The cleanliness of Electric Park is how Walt Disney wanted Disneyland. Walt Disney also liked how Electric Park had trash cans that were easily accessible. That is the way Walt Disney built Disneyland. He wanted to make the people feel like their dreams were coming true. He achieved that thought by putting Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse around the park. He also made the castle to make the people feel like their dreams were coming true. The construction day of Disneyland began on July 16, 1954. He used all of the ideas he had and then built Disneyland. A year later, the park opened to the public. Disneyland’s cost was seventeen million dollars to
Walt Disney World was built in America on October 1st, 1971. This is still ongoing, and is very popular. Walt Disney was very depressed with the war, and was constantly coming up with ideas to change the other depression around him. He finally came up with an idea one day- to make characters like Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse come to life. He made rides and other fun things to do, so that there isn’t a chance to get bored.

Ho was not only the pioneer of animation, but he has built two multi-million dollar theme parks, that many people today enjoy and come from all over the world to see. Most people think that you have to be rich and have lots of money to become an entrepenur, but many people start off with nothing at all, that was the case with Walt Disney. He started off with nothing, living out of his office and eating cold beans before he became the successful entrepeneur he is today. Disneyworld is advertised as the happiest place on Earth. I’ve been to Disney World before when I actually lived in Florida. At four years old, I was tall enough to ride every single attraction. After eleven years, my highschool choir was given the opportunity to visit Disneyworld and Universal Studios. I signed up for the trip with my partner Reid and his best friend Lucky.
Struggles for Disney came back. On May 29, 1941 Disney animators start a strike (Gitlin 98), but it ended in September of that year when Roy Disney negotiated with them (“SLAYMAN”). After this event plans are made to make a Disney themed place, as in the growth of Disney Productions it is found possible. On July 22, 1955, Disneyland, originally to be called Mickey Mouse Village (“Walt”), is opened (Gitlin 99). As the years go by, Walt Disney, his brother and company still grow in their success from Disneyland and their own works.
The reason why Roy was involved was because Walt Disney asked him for money to make Disneyland, but Roy wouldn’t just give him the money. Disney had to make up his own money but his brother was there to support him and help. Walt Disney went through some struggles to make his dream come true, and that was to make a theme park. Walt Disney tried to reach for his goal to entertain kids around the world. After Disneyland was created, Walt Disney made many programs, “Some people would volunteer to help cook for the homeless at Disneyland” (Richardson 36).
He did that by creating Disneyland. The theme park would allow families to come together and live in the animations through exploring, rides, and meeting the characters from his films. Disney mace big plans for his theme parks, but he knew that he could make them come to life as he once said, “If you can dream it, you can do it.” The idea grew bigger and bigger as they opened Disney World in different locations and other Disney inspired theme parks. More people got the chance to live in the animations with their friends and families.
Many people think, or group Disneyland, and Disneyworld together, however they have many different attributes. For example, they are each on the opposite sides of the country, the biggest similarity is the fact that they both have the theme of Disney. Disneyland was the original park with 18 attractions on opening day on July 17, 1955. Disneyworld on the other hand opened on October 1, 1971. The size is also a huge difference, Disneyworld is 43 square miles, and covers the four Disney parks, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s California Adventure, and is about twice the size of Manhattan, whereas Disneyland is only 500 acres and only covers Disneyland park, and Disney California adventure.
Walt Disney had an impact on the world through media, science, and animation. When most people think of Walt Disney, they think of the creator of Mickey Mouse and Disneyland. Walt Disney’s impact went way beyond just cartoons and theme parks. Walt Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Chicago, Illinois. His parents were Elias and Flora Disney.
Hello, my name is Olivia Davis, and I am here to share about one of my most favorite places in the world: Disneyland! In this presentation, I will help you to experience the magic of Disneyland’s beauty, and appreciate its deeper levels of societal-contributions. Disneyland- located in Anaheim, CA- is one of the most architecturally distinguished and fantastical theme parks in the whole country, and, in my opinion, the whole world! (See picture of Cinderella’s castle.) The architecture is the first thing that greets you when coming into the park, and it seems like the classic “Cinderella’s Castle” stands proud to smile at you as you come into the park.
