This essay addresses the late president, Ronald Reagan, and how his acting past made a positive impact on his eight years as president. Reagan found his identity through the many characters he played and learned from each of them. He also acquired many traits from acting and carried them into his presidency. Through acting Reagan became an excellent orator and knew how to please a crowd. He embodied a personal, classic, Western man, who loved America more than anything. He was able to relate to people using anecdotes and jokes and rarely failed to appeal to Americans.
