Samuel Adams was elected as a Massachusetts legislator in 1774, which increased his popularity and helped him spread his view of independence. In 1765, Samuel Adams and John Hancock established the Sons of Liberty, which triggered the thought of possible independence. He also signed the Declaration of Independence in 1776, which is a document that stated the separation of all thirteen colonies from England. This document started the American Revolution. Samuel Adams graduated from Harvard in 1743, even though he was a very educated young man he struggled getting a successful business started because he had problems with handling his finances, but most young people face the same struggles. With no where to turn he joined his family business, and began to produce malt for brewing beer. In his spare time Samuel became an active writer with the independent paper, he was writing articles on the politics that were in the public. Politics became one of his interests in while studying law in college. Samuel was critical of local leaders in his articles because of their alignment with the British.

The format chosen by Puls is simply a chronological line of Samuel Adam’s life from birth to death followed by a short chapter containing a summary and a small list of individuals indirectly influenced by Samuel Adams. The book’s purpose is obviously revealed by the title, Puls sought to provide evidence of Samuel Adams’s leading role in the American Revolution (Puls). Puls succeeds with his purpose, although his methods of completion are largely opinionated, his point is clear and held strong throughout the entire biography.

Samuel Adams was a founding father of America, a revolutionary leader and a political leader who played an important part in the American Revolution. John Adams became known because of his opposition to the stamp act in 1765. His opinion stated "American colonists of the basic right to be taxed by consent and to be tried by jury of peers". Couple months later presented a public speech in Massachusetts stating the invalid act. In 1770, Adams agreed to represent the soldiers in Boston massacre. Even in his early years John was in a class of his own coming from a humble background to become a prominent lawyer while seeking his passion for education and justice. Later in life, John Adams went on to do even more incredible things as a vocal political figure which led him to become an incredibly successful and influential politician during the development of our country. Throughout his life he was incredibly passionate about his values and ideals that influenced our countries development.
In my opinion, John Quincy Adams was a very important figure in U.S. history, serving as the sixth president of the United States from 1825 to 1829. I admire that he was known for being smart, diplomatic, and committed to community. He was profoundly dedicated to education and was an eager scholar, earning a degree from Harvard University at the age of 20, which is very notable. He was also a strong opponent of slavery and fought for its abolition throughout his political career. Despite his many accomplishments, Adams's presidency was flawed by political controversy.
Thomas Jefferson had an enormous impact on the American society. He influenced America to unite as one nation. He shaped a strong central government and had a judicial exceed. If he hadn’t shaped a strong government maybe we wouldn’t have the rights we have today. He proceeded by doing this by influencing the constitution.
