The article discussed how smartphones are more than just the regular cellphones. That because of the services or capabilities that it provides, it must be something to be treated as “more than powerful”. Ahmed and Ahmad (2016) discuss that “A Smartphone can be explained in terms of more powerful CPU, more powerful RAM, plenty of storage space, superior connectivity options and larger screen than a regular cell phone.” However, despite of the said fact, the authors didn’t deny the imperfectness of smartphones. Issues like short battery life, risk of screens busting and security were briefly tackled. Furthermore, excluding the issues and going back to the positive side, because of more researches are done to enhance mobile technology in the future years to come, smartphone is assured to eventually turn into a superphone.
The article is similar with the several articles I’ve cited discussing smartphone’s evolution, it characteristics and its issues. On the other hand, it is different because the author discussed the not just the conceptual issues of smartphones (e.g. Security, Privacy) but also physical issues (e.g. Battery life) and then suggested solutions for it.
