Throughout the history of western civilization there have been a vast number of changes that have occurred and wars that have formed civilization today. There have been economic changes, relating to the development of the economy and the financial state of society. There have been political changes, dealing with shifts in government and power. There have been social changes, affecting the organization of society and the interpersonal and international relations. All of these events have influenced society and molded it into what it is today. By looking at three significant events, the Industrial Revolution, The French Revolution, and the Holocaust, the fact that they are the most important economic, political, and social changes in western civilization since 1689 until now will become evident. The most important economic change in western civilization since 1689 was the Industrial Revolution. It was crucial in the progression of the economy and contributed greatly to the development of the financial state of society. The Industrial Revolution allowed the economy to take a great leap forward in relation to efficiency and production in the mid-1700s. The Holocaust was detrimentally influential in the way countries all over the world relate to one another today. Many of the first few innovations from this time period concluded from the textile industry, which means that instead of cotton for clothing being produced in homes, it would now be moved into big factories for production. Britain at the time was a place that had plenty of resources such as coal and iron required to run the machines they used for cloth production. The Industrial Revolution led to fundamental changes in agriculture, textile and metal manufacture, transportation, economic policies, and the social structure. Traditional commerce was made obsolete by new improvements in transportation and communication standards. This change brought back mercantilist ideas back into the economy. Northern cities started to have more powerful economy than the south, while southern cities resisted to change and still favored slave economy. It was hard not to change to new ideas as they were more efficient and made your life easier.

The Industrial Revolution shaped the growing economy at the time in many positive and negative aspects. The Industrial Revolution took place during the late 1800’s and the early 1900’s and was considered to be the “New Industrial.” Many things were brought to the economy at the time due to this occurring; some in which being machinery, technology, production of goods, and even performance. The economy was not the only thing greatly affected by this revolution but the farmers, the working-class, and the middle-class were also affected to a deep extent.

Before the advancement in medicine if a person was in a coma then they were thought dead, and usually buried alive.

The Reformation was a religious reform movement that began in the early 1500s and split the Western Christian Church. Fed by not only religious reasons but also by by political and social factors, the transformation provided a source of power for many rulers and shaped European colonial expansion.

This era brought a mix of positive and negative effects that not only affected the area it was in but also its surroundings. In result of the revolution there was the cottage industry, agriculture, harsh labor within the system of factory- based manufacturing that included complex machinery, the growth of technology, new resources and the development of transportation. Also the series inventions that increased the production of manufactured goods, which then led to the increased size in the population. A series of the positive effects that came from the industrialization mostly came from the factory owners and the individuals who were above the middle class.
One important impact to us is that the industrial revolution greatly improved the labor efficiency, which we realized that mechanization is an important way to improve labor productivity and reduce manual labor. 2. Railroads A revolution in transportation in the eighteenth century is railroads, a kind of land transportation way. Railroads dominates the long distance transportation, which can transport passengers and goods at a faster speed and lower cost.

For instance, kids were well fed, educated, and clothed. There were plenty of negatives, as well. One very sad example was the machine injuries that happened to both children and adults.
