The men’s lacrosse team participated in the annual IronPigs Suites-N-Treats event on Thursday, October 26 to represent the Cops ‘N’ Kids organization. Food allergies have tripled within the last 15 years and there is no cure, so we should be doing everything we can to help keep students safe. Kids with food allergies feel left out at school. They have to prepare their own food during class parties. According to “The New Rules for Food Allergies” by Kelley King Heyworth, 71% of kids with allergies have to buy their own snack during parties. Some kids have also been isolated during lunch time and had to sit far away from everyone else because of their allergy.
