Dhir Rana

Due of how important this subject is, rape must be mentioned. It has appeared several times, including in our books, news broadcasts, newspapers, movies, and court cases. There is a case known as the Massie Affair, based on discussions of court proceedings. In a true court case between 1931 and 1932, a lady claimed that she had been raped in Hawaii. So, on Saturday, September 12, 1931, Thalia Massie and her husband (Thomas Massie) were at the club. To calm his wife, Thomas, a navy officer, was called. Thalia had a minor argument with a skipper at the party and ended up slapping him across the face. Thalia then decided to leave the party since she was becoming tired of it. Many passersby who were near the route where she was traveling to the beach observed her with a white man between the hours of 12:05 and 12:15 in the morning, said source C. "Thalia walks with a white man down John Ena Road. (Several witnesses observe a woman who matches Thalia walking with the man at various locations along the road.)" This evidence demonstrates that she was with a white male, which settles the question of how she could have been raped if a man was already with her, but it also conflicts with what she said in her testimony (source B). In her testimony, she made inferences to the fact that she was traveling alone to the beach and quipped, “Q: And you don't recollect whether or not these stores were open at that time? A: No. I think some of them were closed at that time. I remember seeing lights in one of them" As a result, the evidence she gave makes her appear to be lying because she claims that there were others present because the lights were on. However, according to source C, she was seen with a white male. According to this information, she was sexually assaulted, the witnesses who saw her with a man were telling the truth, and Thalia is the one, who is …show more content…

She tells police the license number of the other car is 58-985”. The collision happened on Lilia Street, which is around 10 minutes' driving from the alleged scene of the gang rape. Because the automobile was close to the scene and hurried, it is evident that the vehicle with the license plate "58-985" belongs to the lads who are accused of being the rapist. However, source E has now revealed that this is not the case. “In addition, a friend of Massie's, who went with Thalia to the hospital, had been told the license number by a detective.”, And at this point, Thalia deduces that the car's license plate number is 58-905. This indicates that Massie's friend gave her the number in order to heighten the tension, focus everyone's attention on the Boys, and make them appear to be the real criminals. By creating the impression that she knew something about the car's license plate number, Thalia would appear to be innocent while the Hawaiians would be rightfully suspected in this
