Immigration reform has been a big issue for our country in recent years. Many U.S. citizens claim that immigration is harmful to the US economy. In just 20 years, we have seen the average number of immigrants per year jump a staggering 20%. This has lead to the biased opinions we see towards immigration today. When the (DACA) goes into effect there would be a sudden rush of the immigrants looking to find work. As it is in Detroit already an extremely high unemployment rate. So it wouldn’t do any good for the immigrants to receive their two year work permits, and look in for jobs when the community has no jobs to offer. People don't realize that to even qualify for DACA you have to meet certain standards. Dreamers must also meet certain date lines from when they entered the united states and cannot have been convicted of any felonies or major misdemeanors.
