The five dollar bill has one of the best presidents to have ever been in office, Mr. Abraham Lincoln. He did many things that has an influence on this country today by making one simple amendment. The thirteenth amendment abolishing slavery. It was a reason he was murdered in the movie theatre but that simple decision led to greatness in today’s society.
The fifty dollar bill has a man on it who to me did not make an everlasting mark. The topic that I want to discuss is the question of should Ronald Reagan take Ulysses S. Grant’s place on the fifty dollar?

He was not perfect and had more than one white house scandal during his presidency that he turned a blind eye to. But Grant did as well during his second term. Most would say that Reagan knew nothing of politics before becoming president. He was a Hollywood actress and very famous and some may even say that was why he was elected. But in my opinion it may have got the attention of many of us but his campaign is what got him elected. His scandals may have shocked us as a country but they did not ruin
Presidential Courage, written by Michael Beschloss, takes the reader through a series of events over 200 years involving 9 different presidents and how America grew to highly respect them. Out of the 9, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Harry Truman were the top 3 most revered Presidents. Beschloss uncovers the troubles each and every single one of the president’s moment of crisis and how they all overcame these problems while risking the stability of the country. George Washington had faced his biggest challenge in the political field and surprisingly not the battlefield in 1795 when he attempted to turn away from a new war against Great Britain that he knew the United States could not succeed.
General Ulysses S. Grant had a great impact on the United States both in his time as a war general and in his time as president. His role in the Civil War was instrumental to the Union victory and the strategies he employed saved many union troops and ended the war quickly. He had many wins, but also many losses and setbacks that were devastating. He learned and adapted through those setbacks and won the war and the American public. The United States would have had a much harder time winning the war and with recovery efforts afterward were it not for General Grant.

Most people agree that a president should be a good leader, with strong beliefs, with the will to stay strong in what you think, and to do what you say you will, Grover Cleveland unlike some presidents did these things. Andrew Jackson This is a paper about Andrew Jackson being on the 20 dollar bill. The question I am going to answer is, should Andrew Jackson be on the 20 dollar bill? First of all, let 's talk about the characteristics someone needs to qualify to be put on U.S currency. I think, the person in question need to be honest, brave, a leader, and needs to fight for what they believe in. They can 't give up at the first sight of danger.
His good actions, like donations to schools, were often looked up at. So, with his views on making this society like how it used to be, had a toll on wealthy men. Of course, there were men who must have disagreed and disliked the idea of spending their wealth to the needy. The greatest president that has ever served the United States is George Washington. He was not only the first president of the United States but also the commander in chief of the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. He was victorious over the British and quickly became a hero doing so. He helped draft the constitution and with his leadership and courage. As first president, he become a role model for every other present succeeding him and helped create our countries values that we cherish so much today.
Does Andrew Jackson Deserve to be on the 20-dollar bill? In my belief Andrew Jackson does not belong on the 20-dollar bill, due to the simple fact of that in 1836 Andrew Jackson tried over throwing the U.S national bank because he believed that hard currency like gold and sliver should be used. Andrew Jackson in some sense is an ironic placement on any paper currency in the United States. Although this topic is very controversial in the United States. I will try and clarify my belief about why Andrew Jacksons placement on the twenty dollar bill and why he should be reconsidered.
Andrew Jackson has been remembered as a ground breaking president, even being put on the $20. President Jackson was a controversial figure, doing many popular and unpopular things in his time. Although he is remembered as a hero from the war of 1812, he also caused the Trail of Tears and tried to destroy the National Bank. As a result, Jackson should not be put on the $20 bill. His actions have caused many misfortune showing that villains do exist.
This commemorative coin was based off of the Capitol building in Colonial Williamsburg. The Capitol was where Patrick Henry gave his speech Caesar Brutus. This speech was very inspirational and important to the colonists. This is why on the front side of the coin Patrick Henry’s face is shown along with his famous words “Give me liberty, or give me death!” These very inspirational words are a sign of liberty which is why on the back is the Grand Union Flag.
Carter was not reelected after his four years of being president, but he continued to bring peace in foreign nations and help the United States with foreign relationships. Overall most people considered Jimmy Carter to be a president who did not do as much as he should have as president. Carter’s failures are what the people see instead of his improvements he made to foreign policy and the United States economy. Instead of people seeing how Carter ended the war between Israel and Egypt all they saw was how Carter failed to rescue the hostages from Tehran. Two things that people often forget is how Carter deregulated airlines and beer.
General Ulysses S. Grant was a very powerful man. He was the son of a tanner on the Western frontier. He wasn’t born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He was very modern, and thought you had to work hard no matter what. Grant was a man that did not live in the past.
For instance, Washington is represented in a strikingly idealized pose. Additionally, one can see in the upper left hand corner the morning star which lends the painting a Christian significance since this star guided the three wise men to Jesus. The flag gives the overall awareness of a patriotic notion, however was not designed at the time. According to Picturing America, “The Continental Congress did not officially adopt the flag shown in the painting until June 14, 1777, but according to tradition, Betsy Ross is said to have completed one of this design in late May or early June of 1776 at the request of George Washington and two other members of the Congress”
