"The Martian" by Andy Weir is a classic survival story about a stranded astronaut far away from society, but with a twist. The main character, Mark Watney, is stranded on Mars. The novel is set in the near future and follows the story of an astronaut who is left behind on Mars after his crew departs. One of the reasons that "The Martian" is an interesting book to read is its scientific realism. The author has conducted extensive research on the planet and the challenges that a human would face if they were to live there, making the story believable and engaging. Additionally, the setting of Mars provides a unique and thrilling backdrop for the story, transporting the reader to an alien world. The concept of the novel is also unique. Through the journal, readers gain insight into Watney's thought processes, struggles, and sense of humor. It allows readers to connect with the protagonist on a deeper level while also providing insight into the challenges of surviving on
The book shows us another way to write. Being serious, informative, and humorous all together. It shows us a creative way to title our paragraphs and what he writes on the margins helps us with how to use the information he gave

His body and mind becoming one to survive as long as possible for the thought of being rescued. It really reminds you how far persevering can take you in life. Retelling how important it is to use it in our daily life to achieve your goals as if Brian can survive in the woods with justs a hatchet, then you can achieve your dreams and overcome the opposition in front of it. Even though I don’t read novels and prefer manhwa and manga, this book was still a good read and I enjoyed every bit of it. I really like how Brians inner thoughts are showing whats happening around him which got me immersed in the book.
It is neat how Weir works suspense into this book in both perspectives, both the NASA workers’ perspective, and Mark Watney’s
Once Watney’s comrades learns that he is alive, they risk their lives to rescue their friend. The astronauts of the Hermes vote whether to extend their mission by 533 sols and travel back to Mars to retrieve Watney or to stay on track and leave their comrade; of course, they choose to save him because they are a team (The Martian). Watney’s fellow crewmembers show their loyalty by endangering their lives to save his because they have shared jokes, tears, and forgiveness; they have a closer bond. This relationship propels Mark Watney’s adventure from a book to a popular American
The plot of the novel is both strange and original, keeping my interest throughout the book. The dynamic characters in the story help in creating an original plot.
For example, Mitchell noted, “At the end of day two, I was shaking so hard and it was so noisy in the jail, I felt like I had boarded a rocket ship” (60). It was not easy to get off drugs, but Mitchell was determined to get through it, and that is what she did. The book is written in an essay way by how she describes the events in chronological order for the readers to follow along. The organization of the book helps the intended audience because it shows that recovery takes some time, and that her life was crazy, yet she managed to get off the drugs. Mitchell then goes into detail about how her life was being on drugs, and how it was to first be off
(Need a hook or something before this but don’t know what) In the novel “The Martian” by Andy Weir the main character Mark Watney’s education and preparation is put to the test. Mark Watney is an astronaut who was sent to Mars on a mission named Ares 3 with five other crew members. After years of preparation they take off for mars and everything goes perfectly until a few sols after landing a huge sandstorm blows through while they were outside of the Hab. During this storm they need to evacuate Mars because their shuttle that is bringing them back to Earth is tilting and if it falls over they will all be stuck on Mars.
Isolation is a way to know ourselves. Ideas can be born and lost if we disconnect ourselves from everyone. In the novel, “The Martian” written by Andy Weir, Mark Watney is an astronaut who is stranded and alone in Mars. An incident occurred, an atrocious dust storm blew a reception antenna that slammed right into Watney’s side causing him to have utter pain and unconsciousness. His crew members believed that he was lifeless; however, he actually survived the circumstance and became deserted in Mars.
The book I choice to read was, “Brian’s Winter”, by Gary Paulsen. This book is about Brian after the private plane he was flying in crashes in to the rugged forests of Canada. Brian went through many struggles while trying the best he could to survive in the harsh environment. Some of the biggest events in this story include when he is attacked by a bear, during the major storms and some of his questionable encounters with the wolves. If I were telling a friend about the entire story in two minutes I would say, Brian’s parents were divorced leading him to visit his father for the first time in a long time.
“They knew how to live with nature and get along with nature”: The Martian Secret to a palmy Civilization Twentieth-century Americans witnessed beautiful scientific discoveries, like the bomb and also the time, scary political maneuvering stemming from America’s sense of superiority and the conflict, and continued social strife in racial tension and non-secular intolerance. These scientific, political, and social phenomena clearly influenced Ray Bradbury’s The Martian Chronicles. the event of the V-2 weapon, capable of reaching heights of one hundred miles, during World War II marked the start of the time.
Everyone in this society all take books for granted. And don't respect them with all the knowledge they fill people with. And the suspense in this book is unreal. And how tech in this society makes everyone act differently and not themselves. Because it seems everyone is programed to all act the same and not actually have a life and explore around they are all cooped
In this essay I will discuss three of the many problems Mark Watney faces in the Martian. The first major problem Watney faces is getting stranded and wounded on Mars. The second problem Watney faces is how he is going to survive on mars till help can come. The final problem he faces is how is he going to get to the Ares, so he can leave Mars. The first problem Mark Watney face on Mars is getting injured and becoming stranded on Mars.

Also, there can be several opinions to one aspect. Thus, when reading and analysing a novel, students should have the opportunity to develop ideas and concepts of their own. Aside from that, a novel makes the reader aware of the aspect of subjectivity. The characters in a novel have their own subjective way of looking at the world surrounding them. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, in particular, shows the view of a disabled person and his aims in life, which makes students think of their own
