The Superbowl: The American Professional Football Association

He won the first Super Bowl with the Green Bay Packers. One of the best Super Bowl games I have ever watched was Super Bowl XLIX. The Seattle Seahawks played the New England Patriots. It was a tight game all the way, but the Patriots pulled of the win at the end of the game. There was a very questionable call with very little time left by the Seahawks.

Founded in 1920, the NFL is an independent association that now includes 32 distinctly owned professional football teams. With the teams, they each have their own name, logo, colors, and owns intellectual property. The 32 teams produce an annual season of football games that ultimately leads to the Super Bowl championship. All of the teams made their own arrangements for licensing their intellectual property and marketing trademark items. In 1963, the teams came to a collective agreement to form the National Football League Properties (NFLP) to license, develop, market the intellectual property of the teams.

Vince Lombardi was the coach of the Green Bay Packers in 1966, and was the coach that led the Green Bay Packers to their first Super Bowl victory ever. He was born June 11, 1913 and died June 1970 at the age of 57 due to cancer. He has been argued as one of the best Football coaches there are and will be continued to be called one of the best coaches ever. Lombardi was known to be a hard coach to train with for being extremely rough and hard working with his players. This attitude and style is what was believed to allow the Green Bay Packers to win the Super Bowl and 4 others and make them a serious threat to other Football teams.

The final to Super Bowl LI was the greatest comeback in history for the New England Patriots, after they beat the Atlanta Falcons with a spectacular plunge by James White near the pylon. The game began with an unexciting first quarter that ended with a score of 0 on both teams. It may have seemed that it would turn out to be a dull match but the Falcons scored with two touchdowns in the second quarter with 0-7 to the Patriots. The second touchdown was carried by the runback Devonta Freeman, which must have proven his value to the Falcons after signing his 40 million dollar contract to extend his career.

The Steelers are owned by a man by the name of Art Rooney who bought the franchise in 1933 for 2 thousand 500 dollors. Since they were found in 1933 they are the 5th oldest franchise in the NFL. Since the Pittsburgh has the steel mark and iron institute they gave a suggestion to Art Rooney about the logos ( Injury-report .com).

Quickly in the game, the Dallas Cowboys were facing a 10-0 deficit. After Tony Romo took a shot to the ribs and took several minutes to get up, Chris Jones' punt was blocked by Seattle and returned for a touchdown. However, the 6th 100 yard game by Murray and the memorable toe drag catch by Terrance Williams put the Dallas Cowboys ahead to keep their winning streak

College football is more fun to watch than the NFL because there are more teams, better games, and immaculate stadiums. One of the things that makes college football more fun than the NFL is the 128 Division I teams compared to the NFL’s 32 teams.

The Denver Broncos won the very first AFL game against the Boston Patriots, 13-10. These are 2 of the original 8 AFL teams. The others include the Buffalo Bills, the San Diego Chargers, the Oakland Raiders, the Dallas Texans, the Houston Oilers, and the New York Titans. Ever wonder how one of the most famous sporting events began? Well, I am going to tell you how the First World Championship began. It began when two rival football companies, AFL and NFL fought to win the name as the best. Then, the AFL and NFL league had a football game to see who would be the best. Eventually, they signed a contract saying that they would merge together to become one and they would use NFL names and all of NFL and AFL teams.

Football was introduced to the United States around the 1860’s. At this time, the sport was not as popular in the United States and was played occasionally.
