The Third Twin Book Report “The Third Twin” is about a criminality researcher, Jeannie Ferrami, as she prove a man’s innocence of a rape crime and also unlock a mystery that nearly gets her killed. The setting takes place in Baltimore around the turn of the twenty first century. It starts around autumn and seems relaxing until the rape occurs. Most of the events take place along the east coast from Baltimore all the way up to New York.
Jeannie Ferrami, the main character, is a determined, independent women who fights for what she believes in. Her only downfalls are her being stubborn and her temper flaring occasionally. She is a criminality researcher at Jones Falls University, and studies

‘It’s over,‘ he said. ‘No, it’s not,‘ she replied. ‘It’s only begun’ (Follett 416). The events that led up to the quotes had been disheartening and Jeannie had been having a hard time. However, the quote signified Jeannie strong will and determination the readers saw since the beginning. It was obvious Jeannie was ready to take action. “She passed Barrington and saw him smile. She felt tears come to her eyes, but she swallowed them and held her head high. To hell with you all, she thought; one day you’ll find out I was right” (Follett 458). It was the near the end of the book, and all the events and the planning had led up to this moment, but the window of opportunity was closing and all of Jeannie’s work was about to go to waste. If only she had known, luck was just right around the …show more content…
The plot, the setting, the characters were all wonderful, but the three things that caught my attention were the accuracy of events, heart-racing events, and the plot. Throughout the book, events during the jail or courthouse were described very detailed and produced a clear image in my head. The author must have done lots of prior research in order to get information about these events that most commoners do not know. The fire, rape, fights were described in a manner that allowed me to truly experience and understand what it was like in the character’s shoes. The plot went through many situations from jail cells all the way to getting confidential information from the Pentagon.

“The Midnight Twins”, a work of fiction, written by Jacquelyn Mitchard. “The Midnight Twins” is a mysterious, and suspenseful story that shows and introduces twin telepathy. In this book that I chose to read twins Meredith and Mallory Brynn weren’t very lucky, they faced many unfair events and those events introduced their strengths that they were born with. “The Midnight Twins” was a very understanding and good book to read. In the following paragraphs I will discuss the topic, characters, and conflict.
The Third Twin How would you feel if you suddenly found out you had a sibling you never knew about? My SSR book, “The Third Twin” by Cynthia J. Omololu is about a crazy situation like this. This story was about how two twins, Ava and Alexa, get framed for murders happening in the area. Then, later in the story, they meet there triplet and believe she’s the killer. I rated this book a six and a half out of ten.
Serpico, the New York City cop who couldn’t be bought by nobody. Serpico is a book that tells a story about a cop that works in New York, that wouldn’t take any brides from anybody and who had to deal with a very corrupt police department. There was a big gambling problem going on in New York and there was nothing being done about it so Serpico being such an honest cop decided he would try to get rid of the problem. In the following book report over Serpico, by Peter Maas, I will summarize the book’s contents and give my thoughts over the book.
Have you ever read a book actually changed you? That gave you the chills and caused goosebumps to break out across your skin? Violent Ends did that to me, more than once. Reading it left me internally shaken, craving a teddy bear and soft blanket, and half wanting to throw the book and frame it. Violent Ends is an exceptional creature.
It made no difference to her. In fact, it would be a relief”(pg 4). She accepted the the
This book was interesting for me because it allowed me to relate to a character. I love reading novels that not only allow me to feel a connection with a character, but allow me to relate to their personality or
Like when Janina and Misha were hiding from the Jackboots, I never wanted to stop reading so I could find out what happened. Overall, this book was great and it taught me alot about what people were feeling throughout this horrible
There is a new documentary titled “Three Identical Strangers” which tells the story of three identical triplets who were separated at birth and raised by different families. It was shown at the recent Sundance Film Festival. The three, born in 1961, were part of a controversial psychology experiment to answer the nature versus nurture debate on raising children. Robert Shafran, David Kellmann, and Eddy Gallan were monitored for the study by the Manhattan Child Development Center. It is headed by Dr. Peter Neubauer, a psychoanalyst.
The story really brought out a lot of emotions out of me. Some parts I enjoyed over others but it had me hooked from the start. I think that we learn that things do get better over time and we should really start appreciating friends and family more than we already are. Overall I think that the book had nice themes in it, definitely a must
Blanche not only witnessed this tragic event but after a few sessions of talking with her, she revealed that she felt as though she was the one to blame and it would have been no difference if she, in fact, was the one that pulled the trigger that fateful
She practically forced her husband to get her what she wanted from the Great Tree, ending in an unfortunate event in which the pregnant woman felt from the Sky World. This stubborn woman got pregnant by a bizarre man that placed two arrows across her body. What she didn’t know is that she was expecting opposite twins, the white side and the dark side. Since the moment the twins where in their mother´s belly they caused her trouble. The left-handed twin, also referred as the Devious one, was the extravagant one he wanted to be born through the left armpit.
Overall I would give the book 3 out of five stars because I didn’t really like the book because it was very slow paced throughout the entire book with a lot of filler chapters that didn’t contribute to the plot of the
Rhetorical Analysis of “A Hanging” In his personal narrative, “A Hanging”, George Orwell, a renowned British author, who often used his talents to criticize injustice and totalitarianism, describes an execution he witnessed in Burma while serving as an officer in the British Imperial Police. Originally published in The Adelphi, a British magazine, in 1931, the piece was written for educated, politically aware people in England, in hopes of provoking questions regarding the morality of capital punishment, and perhaps imperialist society overall, in those benefitting from such a system. Although he died nearly seventy years ago, his works are still influential and relevant today. Using vivid descriptions and a somber tone, Orwell recreates his experience in a tense narration that clearly shows his thesis concerning the value of human life and the wrongness inherent to a system that dismisses it so casually.
One of the main themes in the novel is twinning. There are any twins in and out of the space of the novel. Outside the
