The main character in the Most Dangerous Game, Rainsford, endured numerous troublesome trials. The last trial he endured, in my opinion, was the hardest; giving him the chance to attack and kill Zaroff right then and there, instead choosing not to take advantage of the situation. Ultimately, he confronted and challenged him to a fair and even sword fight, the winner getting to keep Zaroff 's home while the loser was fed to the dogs. This act shows a great deal of Rainsford 's character and personality, proving to be a man of honor and fairness, with respect in this scenario. Rainsford allowed an even fight to take place, and as a result, for his actions, he won while Zaroff received what he truly deserved.

My theory on The Westing Game is Flora Baumbach is the killer. I believe she is the killer because she was super excited when she found out Turtle was here partner (pg. 33). Her next victim could be Turtle for kicking her in the shin. She also would want to kill Sam because of his daughter's wedding.

In the short story “It Had to Be Murder,” the many entities, atmosphere, and sentence structure present contribute to the overall purpose of the setting - to evict a sense of significance over the most miniscule of things. “I could get from the bed to the window and the window to the bed and that was all,” a sentence near the beginning of the story serves to depict that the life of the protagonist is very monotonous and repetitive and Jeff experiences are confined only to his bedroom. However, throughout the story, Jeffery is depicted as doing everything but that; from being the witness of a murder and assisting the police on the crime which he is the only one to have witnessed.
