Thesis Statement
A. What I hope to aim for my audience is too see what these young girls went through and how they are lured into this not willing wanting to go. I went through and listen to lots of stories of woman who were taken when younger and how they were enslaved by these men who mentally controlled their thoughts. When I read about poor stories from overseas how parents where so desperate for money they sell their children it was heartbreaking, but those two young ladies today Keiu and Sara are now working with a group home building a future and hoping to help other victims. The purpose to give the audience a better understanding what human trafficking is and how it’s going on in our neighborhoods.
B. The part of the paper that grows out the thesis I believe is my first body paragraph. In this paragraph I tell my readers exactly what human trafficking is and why I believe it forms into slavery, I also include a graph picture of where most of the trafficking is taking place. My other one is when journalist Jennifer Lobasz, talks about how the young girl’s innocents are taken away. As we speak right now, someone across the world is being forced into labor or sexual interactions. Men are the minority in this case and not forced into this as much as women and children. Most of those children are girls of ages from eight to fourteen starting in this business. I highly doubt any of you know that human trafficking, the modern day slavery is worse today than it was during the Atlantic Slave Trade in the 1500’s. Human Trafficking is where traffickers forcefully control victims to make them engage in sex or labor against their will (Bales 1).
STOP-IT (Salvation Army) STOP-IT is the Chicago chapter for Salvation Army, this program is fairly new which means no one has done a study. The UN Women’s Independent Evaluation Office conducted a study on a program called UN Women. Both programs, want to end human trafficking and want to help all victims. Their main emphasis is giving a safe home to live, therapy sessions, and giving food.
Around the world, people are affect by sex trafficking everyday. This is a touchy subject that is not talked about often. A YouTube Channel called “collapsefilms” attempts to display what sex trafficking is. While the advertisement aims to spread awareness of sex trafficking, it is problematic because it fails to show the whole truth of what sex trafficking actually consists of, uses stereotypical white actors, it fails to show hard facts, and it is not clear in its overall message.
Most of the human trafficking cases are not frequently conversed about, mainly because no one wants to talk about what happens to those men and women. Debbie Nathan tells of a Kenyan woman that got involved in human trafficking through a childcare job. Nathan goes on to list several feminists’ organizations, trying to push action, and reduce the number of victims of human trafficking.

Sexual trafficking is a huge problem that needs to be stopped immediately and the statistics show that trafficking is going up more and more every single year. sexual trafficking is a trade of people from one country to another. The Ripon Youth conference was a great experience. I was able to learn about new perspectives from Media and Crime, Unhealthy Relationships and, Human Trafficking. To begin in Media and Crime was my first section. In that section I learn about Fisher's Narrative Theory. The first theory is Fidelity and that is how true dose a story sound to you.

Obviously, the child wanted to support his or her family, but only found a job which he or she most likely did not know what it was about. “ Girls trafficked into prostitution are very unlikely to be provided with enough time and encouraging atmosphere to go to school, to study, or to develop other skills necessary for a career change,” said the Impact of children trafficking on the Children and their Communities. Because the girls do not have enough support or time they will most likely not want to study.
Means is how the crime is done, means mostly consists of abduction, threats, manipulation, deception, force and the like. Purpose explains why it was committed which is the explicit intent to exploit the victim. The International Labor Organization reported that in 2017 approximately 24.9 million people were victims of human trafficking with around 81% of victims falling under the category of forced labor and 19% falling under the category of sexual exploitation. Out of the 24.9 million the demographics showed around 70% of women and girls were victims of trafficking and 30% of men and boys were victims of trafficking, with 75% being over the age of 18 and 25% being under the age of 18. Within the United States there are approximately 600-800,00 victims of trafficking according to the US State Department, with Asia-pacific region accounting for the largest amount of victims internationally.

All around the world human trafficking exists and there needs to be a stop to it. Human Trafficking is a national problem because current laws are ineffective and therefore action needs to be taken to reduce the problem. Human Trafficking became our modern day slavery. Victims being forced into labor, being drug camels, and solicitation. Slavery has brought sadness to the world and yet aren’t realizing that the people being trafficked are becoming slaves.
“Noy Thrupkaew: Human Trafficking is all Around You: This is how it Works” and “Slavery in the fields” both have a common theme. Both of these stories make the claim that human trafficking is widespread across a spectrum of industries and that consumers are fueling the problem. However, this subject is far more complicated than one can see. The first piece brings attention to the gruesome circumstances of human trafficking victims. The second piece is very loose in what it interprets as human trafficking.
We are living in a world where one person has an absolute power over another. The groundless trade of human beings in today’s world shows a deteriorated state of affairs which confirms that the greatest moral challenge facing the globe today is human trafficking. It refers to illegal sale or trade of people for sexual abuse or forced labor through coercion or abducting people. Sex trafficking is a major issue in the world and people often overlook the fact that it can be an issue in the most modern and advanced first world countries. This is the modern term for slavery of people for purposes including forced sex and labor. Sex trafficking is one of the most exclusive and most advanced types of slavery and is often gone unseen or unnoticed. This problem can cause many people to have low self-esteem and problems with their health. The low self-esteem is often caused because the people are raised or built to understand that they have no worth and that they are meant for nothing but to be raped and to do work without pay.
