Good morning, my name is Brooke Athman, and it is my pleasure to represent the State of Maycomb and serve as the prosecutor in this very unique case of injustice. Ladies and gentlemen, on August 26, 1936, the jury of the Robinson v. Ewell case, committed the crime of dereliction of duty. The jury in that particular case is being put on trial based on their bias and racist verdict. After hearing all the evidence given, and at the conclusion of this case, we are assured that you will come to a verdict of guilty on these charges.

Ewell case, who let their own personal opinions influence the verdict made. On the day of the trial, a jury of twelve Maycomb County members, sat to make a verdict on whether or not Tom Robinson raped Mayella Ewell. After hearing three stories from Bob, Mayella, and Tom. The jury came to a unanimous decision, without any evidence, that Tom was guilty of rape.
SCENE
On the day of the trial, the jurymen gathered in the Maycomb County courtroom to give Tom Robinson a fair trial based on the evidence. They heard four people give testimonies and get questioned, but three of those stories did not align. Meaning someone had lied under oath about the events that happened between Mr. Robinson and Ms. Ewell.
ISSUE

The jury came to the conclusion, with no evidence the offense happened, that Tom Robinson was guilty. Based on the grudges and resentments of those men, Tom Robinson was never going to receive a fair trial with the jury given.
