First in Fahrenheit 451, Bradbury shows us a dystopian society where fireman instead of putting out fires they start fires. Second we are shown a new character named Guy Montag who is different from all of the other fireman. Third in F451 instead of reading books firemen burn books with the exception of comic books but Montag the main character of the story does something other fireman do not do he keeps books. Also in F451 Bradbury mentions some future technology that we could have 50 years from now including giant wall tv’s,mechanical hounds,and flamethrowers. Finally in F451, Bradburry shows us a dystopian society where fireman instead of putting out fires they start fires which is not what our world is like today. First in F451 their is new technology in this dystopian society. Next the technology is more advanced than ours including robotic animals for example the mechanical hound,a electronic eyed snake,and a salamander that says it was a pleasure to burn. Second the technology of the future is going to be way advanced with even more advanced flying cars,giant tv’s,and maybe even teleporters. Firemen rush to their houses and they search for the book’s if they find any they burn the books as well as the house because they don 't know if there’s anymore hidden “The whole house is going up said beatty”. Fahrenheit 451 –Analytical Essay There are a few common aspects of the setting of Fahrenheit 451, a book by Ray Bradbury and today’s society. Just like any books being burned in Fahrenheit 451, our government holds certain information as classified and does not let it out to the general public. Both societies use censorship as a way of limiting knowledge. Oversight and surveillance continue to be allowed at an alarming rate and was a part of Bradbury’s concerns. Fitting in and being "normal” or mainstream are not as accepted in either setting.
