To blame the fall of Rome, on one thing would simply just be wrong. Rome fell because of many things, but they most notably fell because of economic problems, military and political turmoil, and eventually invasion. Rome’s economy was eventually weakened by inflation, agricultural, and the draining of resources. Inflation weakened the economy when the Romans put too much money in the economy and it decreased the value of money coupled with the rise in prices. Agriculture effected the economy because the soil in Italy and Western Europe became overworked so food shortages, disease was spread, and the population declined.
