Why Am I Attending College Essay

Our whole lives our parents told us that we need to go to college to be successful. They told us that college would insure us a great life, but for many, that isn’t the case. Many students go to college hoping to get a degree, but many drop out due to insufficient funds. While for some, college might be the right choice, that doesn’t mean that college is for all of us. One of the reasons i believe that college isn’t worth it is because of student loans and debt.

Pursuing a career in medicine will enable me to directly impact the lives of individuals and communities, particularly those who face barriers to quality healthcare. In addition to that, going to college/university allows an individual to go through a transformative journey and shape them into knowledgeable and compassionate leaders of society. Higher education would also equip me with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in an increasingly competitive world. It would empower me to become an advocate for change, challenge stereotypes, and become a role model for those similar in my shoes. However, by pursuing a college education, the one promise I made to myself was to make my family proud and support them along the way.

According to the Thomas Nelson website, 15.8 percent of students overall graduate from the four-year program. This is surprising to me because many students are not graduating within those four years. I attend Thomas Nelson now, and I want to continue to be successful in all my classes. Because a college education offers benefits, I will face my challenges, listen to expert advice, and develop some strategies for success.

This understanding has allowed me to grow tremendously. Without a doubt, this process of maturing has prepared me for the rigors of medical school. There will be many new challenges even some of the worst of experiences or things will fall apart, but I know that things will get better if I take them one step at a time. With this in mind, my aim is to become a doctor who is able to stand in her patients’ shoes and be sensitive to their symptoms and try to meet all of their needs and particularly those beyond their illness. I look forward to making my dreams a reality and await with pleasure the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to improve the lives of others through

You can do a lot without a college degree, but it does help you build experience and for some jobs a college degree is required. One of the biggest reasons college degrees is worth it is due to the amount of jobs offered to people without a college degree is greatly decreasing. Everyday there are less and less jobs for high school graduates without college degrees.

For some people with a high school education is just enough for them. They don't want to go through the struggle of college. Some go to college when they're older, others go to their career right after high school. College is valuable for everyone and it is a very important part of your education. With college you don't just study for a career, you study for something that you would like to do for your life.

Many times, I would ask questions even to my unaware motivators concerning what they did to get to where they were. Grateful, the following year, I earned straight A in all my class throughout my three semesters with the exception of two B. Today, I am an aspiring medical doctor with a major in mathematics and a concentration in business. The road ahead is no walk in the park but why waste the opportunity, or settle for taking things easy. The study of human body, in particular the brain and the mechanisms of the brain that facilitates everyday conscious and subconscious activities is very interesting to me.

When I was growing up, I always wanted to work in the medical field. Freshman year of high school, I joined Student Athletic Training at my school because it exposed me to medical injuries in high stress situations. Even though I was working with an athletic trainer and loving it, I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do; I switched from wanting to be a pediatrician to an oncologist and then an orthopedic surgeon. I settled on becoming an OBGYN because I had just watched my sister give birth to her son. I thought that delivering babies had to be the most important job because I’d be taking care of new life.

As long as I can remember, I knew that college was going to be part of my future. That is because I always knew what my family expected out of me. College is not only important to me for the reason of making my parents proud, but for making sure that I create more out of myself, as well. With a higher education, I will have more job opportunities available, potentially be able to earn higher income, and obtain more useful life skills than somebody who does not have a college education. To begin, having a college education under my belt is important to me because I will have more opportunities for a job, after I complete my four years.

Is College worth It Should you go to college ? Here 's some reasons why you should. Each year there are thousands of students enrolling into college hoping they will get in to study and learn about their dream job. Many colleges have been around for decades.

Why do I want to attend college? College is an honorary achievement and it separates the determined from the undetermined. Owning a college to degree is an honor and an ecstatic feeling. Through college, that job is that much closer in the grasp. Through college, a person can perform at an elite level and really push themselves for greatness.

Doing what I love and being able to support myself and loved ones is important to me. I am a very independent person and I like to do things my way. I like to set individual goals everyday, whether that means doing my homework before a certain time, or completing something for the week. They help me get my work done on time and efficiently.

Attending college wasn’t an obligation of mine but a choice that I took. My reasons are probably just like everyone else’s at my age. I wanted a better life for myself in the future that didn’t involve living paycheck by paycheck. Obtaining a college degree has such a strong influence on one’s life. College has been a dream of mine since I was little.

The reasons why I am attending college Personally, I decided to go to the college because my parents always taught me that a higher-education could offer me a better life. I attended an extraordinary high school in Italy but I wanted to continue my education here in Miami. I am attending college because I will get an excellent job and most like it make more money when I graduate, I will build more knowledge and skills and finally I will have the college experience and make more friends.

A college education is very important for me to obtain the career I want. College will provide me the knowledge and practice I need to be successful. Going to college will help me get accustomed to the pressure of the real world and will give me the opportunity to become independent. Graduating college is my number one goal in life. It would be an awarding payoff for all the hard work and dedication to my studies throughout high school.
