George Washington, the best president there was, he supported the country in many ways, whether it was his time in the military, being an outstanding diplomat, his itelligence, or preparing the United States for what it is today. Washington could have had absolute power over the people of the United States, instead he helped established the rules and laws to ensure it will be a free country. He had great communication skills considering he was a founding father and worked well with many other people. He put his heart and soul into this country always, he had intentions to make this country the best. It takes a special person to keep a brand new country neutral with no enemies. He understood that the nation needed time to grow and develop, because of a small military and low population. George Washington agreed to have an alliance with France in 1778, in which France sent us troops, money and other supplies to help fight the British. However we declined to aid France in war during the 1790’s. Which was a smart move because France quickly found themselves at war with other nations. He also knew he needed to build good relations with the other people occupying America, starting with treaty negotiations with Creek Nation, he paid the Native Americans for the land and they moved to federally protected land. Even Though some opposed Washington choice to start trade with Britain it was another important move on his part because it got us the items we needed and helped us cut ties with France. He made sure to pick people intelligent people who knew what they were doing for his cabinet., Before making any impactful decision George listened to his people and sat down with his cabinet to get a second opinion and make sure his decision was justified. George Washington established the cabinet and picked Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton to help and gain multiple opinions on different topics. He placed his battles well and knew when to have them and how to have them. His prior military experience helped him become one of the best Commander in Chief's there ever was. He was the president of the constitutional convention, which created the constitution, while he sat in the convention his role was to mediate when debates became out of control and being president he could oversee the discussions to make sure the government would turn out like he wanted. When it came to politics the biggest thing Washington wanted was a national government, he didn't want a single person to have all the power because with power comes greed. He had visions of what America could be and that is something that makes a great leader because he knew what he wanted and would strive to attain those goals and it would also inspire people to follow him, during the Battle of Trenton many of his mens enlistments were up but washington convinced his men to stay with him, they were hesitant at first but they had trust and
