Money could be the most important thing that makes a nation really powerful and the US is an excellent example of how important is to have a good economy. Like Americans and other legal people, undocumented people help to hold and increase the U.S. economy in a positive way. Some people claim that illegal immigrants have good effects when they come over here but they are only thinking on one side. The truth is that illegal immigrants have the power to steal behind the backs of citizens. First, illegal immigrants steal money from citizens by having the chance of winning the lottery or hitting a jackpot at the casino.

Legal immigrants have a desire to create the America dream come alive. Though hardships and competition come when they accept their citizenship in America, this leads to a brighter future once they work. As a result, they can create their own businesses in America, families of generation to help America in the future, and support their citizens when their friends need help. As America allows citizenship for immigrants who want to create the dream, the immigrants give back to the economy, making our economy flourish for America. Overall, legal immigrants has helped the economy reach new heights that no America has ever seen in

economy. The jobs aspect of the economy is a big positive because immigrants take all jobs and especially the jobs that Americans are not willing to do. Also when an immigrant is challenged by an American for the same job either the American or the immigrant stands to make about twenty - five dollars more a week than before they were challenged for the job opening (migration policy,2014). Next businesses in the U.S. can strive more due to the lower wages so then the production cost will be less therefore they will be able to produce more for the same price they were paying for a half of what is now being produced. Next not only will businesses strive but the economy will strive due to businesses doing well because the income that those businesses receive come back to the government and that income goes towards our budget or yearly budget that allows states to purchase items for school such as textbooks so kids can have a better education.

Sanctuary cities are extremely beneficial to the economy. According to University of California, Davis economist Giovanni Peri, states with higher populations of undocumented immigrants tend to have skilled workers who make more money and work more hours, resulting in increased productivity (2013). Higher wages lead to more money being put back into the economy because workers have more capital to spend. In addition, higher production rates means lower prices. This profound effect is a result of undocumented workers.

Illegitimate immigration is becoming one of the largest problems in today’s America, many believe that a border wall with Mexico would help this problem. In about 3 years ago it occurred that there were about 11.1 million illegal immigrants in America. Of those 84% of them came from Central America, Mexico, and Asia, the largest amount coming from Mexico with 59% of all illegal immigrants. Constructing a border wall to keep out illegal immigrants won't just cost billions of dollars, it would create a less diverse community, make America’s economy weak, and it would hurt the environment. The number of immigrants that do not pay their taxes is too limited for it to be considered a burden to our economy.

I believe illegal immigration negatively affects the United States; illegal immigrants hurt the economy and bring in more crime. They just keep coming illegal immigrants, and our government isn 't doing anything about them. They are affecting America because they bring drugs and their friends.
