Competition between private owners of production creates lower prices, greater efficiency, and improved quality. People are motivated to do their best when they see the results of their effort. Capitalism aligns the incentives, and people thus are motivated to work hard and overall help the economy. People have economic liberty. Socialism removes these incentives.
Capitalism has lifted far more people out of poverty, and raised standards of living higher than any other economic system. The evolutionary force of the market inspires innovation and ingenuity. Over time, this system ensures economic liberty, prosperity, and human progress. Capitalism is inescapably better than socialism.
If you want to have a successful economy, you need to have competition between small business. The redistribution of wealth, a key socialist idea, allows businesses to stay in operation, allowing for cheaply made products and a poor work ethic. This, in turn, eliminates the idea of business competition because of the fact that if a business is faltering, the government will take care of them. One of the most important fundamentals of modern economics is that people respond to incentives. If one wakes up every morning content that regardless of the quality of his work that he will be provided the same compensation, what is his incentive to perform to the best of his ability? Where is the individual 's incentive to innovate, increase efficiency, and in doing so, drive economic growth if he will not see the fruits of his labor? Due to lack of incentive, socialism breeds laziness, and acceptance of the status-quo. Capitalism, on the other hand, breeds entrepreneurship and innovation. Competition in free markets forces suppliers of goods to increase the quality of their product and/or decrease price to stay
Socialism is the idea that all industry is equal, instead of being owned by a small group of rich millionaires. It’s the idea that the workers will get paid enough to actually support their families, and the workplace is a much more cooperative environment for everybody.
Instead of splitting the population and using hardworking people unfairly, socialism allows an equal share among everyone so there is not a huge split between the wealth of a group. The packers and factory leaders all use the
Capitalism had taken a hold of the country because of the factories and railroads that popped up all across it. Andrew Carnegie and J.P. Morgan are widely known figures today, who gained their success from Capitalism. It is important to note that in the 1898 Declaration of Principles of the Social Democratic Party, the group declared, “That private ownership of the means of production and distribution of wealth has caused society to split into two distinct classes with conflicting interests, the small possessing class of capitalists or exploiters of the labor force of others and the ever-increasing large dispossessed class of wage-workers, who are deprived of the socially-due share of their product.” While the use of capitalism in our economy helped ensure the government would not overpower businesses, it placed all of this power into the hands of very few individuals, who happened to abuse it. This is when farmers and laborers began to despise capitalism and then organize themselves to promote something in which they strongly believed in, a socialist America.
As industry exponentially grew after the Civil War, the need for labor and materials to power newly-created manufacturing giants caused new social classes to form: the rich corporation owners and the poor laborers. Unfathomably rich Robber Barons, or plutocratic American Capitalists, dominated the economy and industry and profited from the slave-like work of millions of poor laborers during this time period. Moreover, the poor working class and the rich further divided by distribution of wealth. Therefore, exploitation of capitalism widened the gap between the rich and poor classes of America, and both newly-formed classes developed reasons for the change.
In the more developed regions of the world such as the United States, the United Nations and some of the Asian Countries, the form of economy there is Capitalism. Capitalism allows business owners to expand as much as they like since businesses are privately owned and the government have little to no influence on them. To the rich, capitalism is great, it allows them to be as rich as they want, but to the poor, capitalism only makes them poorer, it creates a disparity in social class system, and the varying changes in employment rate as a result of monopolization. Capitalism, due to monopolization makes the poor stay poor. To elaborate: a monopoly is when a person or a group owns the majority of the supply for the public.

The industrial capitalist economy sounds great and when done right would be optimal. Unfortunately for the people of this emerging times, a few men took what could 've been great and manipulated it and turned it into a greed-filled business. Don’t get me wrong, there are many positives with the birth of the industrial capitalist economy, but do these positives outweigh the terrible conditions workers were put in at the hands of greedy businessmen? Do these positives outweigh the many families who lost everything they worked for their entire life because businessmen used the system and cheated them out of opportunities?
