9/11 Impact On Society

Did you know that the 9/11 attack was not the first terrorist attack on the World Trade Center? On the 11th of September in the year 2001, Islamic terrorists hijacked four commercial airplanes and crashed two of them in the World Trade Center in New York City. One of the other planes was crashed into the Pentagon in Virginia while the last plane was driven to the ground in a field in Pennsylvania. 9/11 changed American society by improving security but also by increasing ongoing wars. Immigration and deportation were also increased because of 9/11.

On September 11, 2001, Americans changed the way they lived their lives. They went from not worrying about their safety, to worrying about whether today was going to be their last day alive. September 11th took the lives of many innocent people that should not have lost their lives. The 911 memorial garden is the most important monument because it shows that terrorists shattered America ’s sense of safety, and courageous American citizens would give their lives in the years that followed as they fearlessly joined the fight against terrorism around the world.

On September 11,2001 it was just an average day for many going to work or flying home to see family. Until… word got out that a plane crashed into the twin towers of the world trade center. It was caused by members of a terror group called Al- Qaeda. The attacks were not accidental they were intentional. Both towers collapsed killing 3,000 people.

The events that occurred on September, 11, 2001 were among the most catastrophic events in American history. The events of the day were summarized as 19 militants associated with the terror group al-Qaeda hijacked four airplanes and carried out targeted attacks in the United States. Out of the four planes, two of them were flown into the World Trade Center in New York, a third one into the Pentagon in Washington and the fourth one crashing off course into a field. The attacks resulted in the deaths of over 3000 people and the beginning of a soon to come American counter terrorism policy and the subsequent invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq. The 9/11 tragedy was a moment where people had their guard up at all times. This was a time where life had strike to reality of time warfare with every person and country. Couldn’t trust no one that came to the U.S. America is the land of the free and the home of the brave, were brave because the generations before us had to face what had happened and to what is going to happen. This had left the buildings torn instantly killing hundreds of many people, getting them stuck in the higher floors. This attack was the worst in America ever since the Pearl Harbor All over our nation saw a major impact of devastation in the face of the September 9, 2001attacks.

Introduction Event of 9/11 without a doubt considered to be one of largest disastrous American society has experienced. The shock society underwent uncountable. Nobody could expect to happen those events. Even the security services of US could not prevent the terrorist attack.

On 9/11 that was the day the terrorist had hijacked and rammed jetliners into each New York world center. The effect it had on people was that people where feeling Pain, sadness, and hurt. They felt hurt because their family was in the crashes. People were breaking down and crying. Young people where jumping out of the window.

Bush delivered a speech that gave relief to the American people after the massacre. This was a disturbing moment in our history that shook the very foundation of America.

Others argue that 9/11 had more tragedy than humanity, but they are very mistaken. 9/11 had struck much tragedy, but still others kept people safe and gave them everything they needed. “They spent the next three days in that town, where the mayor and most of the residents cooked elaborate meals, let them use their showers, even borrow their cars. ”(Gander) These people gave the damaged victims hope and safety along with the sense of family.

On September 11th 2001 four planes were hijacked from a nearby New Jersey AirPort. The first two planes flew into the Northern and Southern tower of the World Trade Center in New York. The next one flew into the underground base in Washington D.C. known as The Pentagon. The last one flew or crashed onto a flat landscape even though it was aiming for the white house. On September 11th 2001 four aircrafts were hijacked with the first two sent into the twin towers of The World Trade Center in New York.

One moment it was a normal day and the next moment will forever be ingrained within the minds of an entire nation. The first plane hit at 8:46 a.m. and the second at 9:03 a.m., leaving 2,819 people dead. September 11, 2001 will always be remembered as a day of great destruction, a day of great loss. September 11, 2001 was the day two planes flew into the World Trade Center, forever changing the way of life for all of America. After this horrible act of terrorism the president of the United States gave a speech addressing the nation.

The attacks killed 2,996 people and injured over 6,000 others. Al Qaeda terrorists hijacked four planes. Two of the planes (American airline flight 11 and united airlines flight 175) Crashed into the north and south towers of world trade center in New York City. One hour and 42 minutes after the crash of the planes both 110 stories towers collapsed resulting fire and the collapsing and damage to the other towers. Including the seven world trade center tower which has 47 stories.

Terrorist attacked World Trade Center and Pentagon, and took lives of about 2996 Americans and more than 6000 were wounded or injured. Everyone still has agony of pain from the terrible loss of that day, but remember how were we united and saved lives of many wounded ones.
