The drug Cannabis Sativa now known as “Weed” or “Marijuana” was first used in times dating back to the 1600’s for medicinal purposes and such. However, a law was passed around the 1930’s which made its use illegal.Since then a debate has sparked on whether it should be legalized or not. Americans have been a bit undecided on which side to pick. Either the liberal one or the more conservative one.It has become such a controversial matter simply because everyone has a different viewpoint on this plant,while some see benefits from it others see disadvantages.As it is obvious the more liberal type of citizens may say that marijuana isn’t addicting and that in no way can it have a negative effect in a persons life,since all it is is a plant.
