The Boston Red Sox are a renowned baseball team. They are an American professional baseball team based in Boston, Massachusetts, that competes in Major League Baseball. They are members of the East division of the American League. The were established in 1901. The "Red Sox" name was chosen by the team owner, John I. Taylor, around 1908.

Plants are the most amazing environmental species, that have been around for millions of years. Most plants live from water and the sun’s energy, but some plants can tolerate saltwater. Two articles will be using charts, graphs, and pictures to find out which plants can tolerate saltwater. In the end only some plants with survive, while other will perish from this experiment.

Zac Nyland January, 20, 2017 Boston, MA and Anglo Saxon city with a population of 115,000 people was run by descendants of English Puritans. Back then it was hard trying to immigrate into America and hard finding jobs. Immigrate is where you come from one country to another. It wasn’t worth immigrating/coming to America. It was hard finding jobs because the American people thought that the immigrants would take over their job.

Something I learned about in Herbology 301 is healing. Healing is an important part of our life, which is why i wanted to write about it. Water hyacinth is a plant species native to South America that has been introduced to some parts of the western United States, and has not ceased to wreak havoc since. The recent droughts in California have not seemed to help the situation, and the aquatic plant is a relentless pest that refuses to yield to any attempts at extermination. The state of California has spent millions of dollars in an effort to eradicate the invasive species, however water hyacinth shows no signs of leaving any time soon. Water hyacinth is a plant that is non-native to California, however it has been appearing in many of Northern California’s freshwater lakes and ponds. The plant floats on the surface of the water, and has thick, fibrous roots below the surface.

In the beginning of the play when the plant makes its debut, it is described as “a feeble little plant growing doggedly” (Hansberry 23). It is not a beautiful plant, but it could win a prize for its tenacity. Its appearance may not match Mama’s, but its will to survive most definitely does. Mama is “full-bodied and strong” (23) with an air similar to that of “the noble bearing of the women of the Hereros of Southwest Africa” (23), which does not parallel the appearance her beloved plant.
