The Doctor said Doodle wouldn’t be able to walk and basically said that Doodle couldn’t do anything physical but the Narrator ignored that and wanted Doodle to walk but not because the Narrator wanted to help Doodle but because he was embarrassed that he had a little brother that wasn’t able to walk. If the Narrator would’ve stopped making him swim and run almost everyday for almost no reason, he wouldn’t of taken Doodle out that day when the storm came. If the Narrator wasn’t so harsh on Doodle, he wouldn't of left Doodle. If the Narrator cared more about Doodle and would’ve helped Doodle in the storm, Doodle wouldn’t of died.

Everything will catch up to you, and I think Booth knew this. He showed his brother that you cannot cheat your way out of people’s money, if they know that they are cheating, and you have a gun.

But when Mary Warren testified in court that she had made the poppet in Abby’s presence, Danforth was not as quick to believe her. He went back to the opinion of Abigail who said Mary was lying. Danforth only considered evidence that fit his original viewpoints of the issues.
