As technology matures, so do I. I have a picture of myself, no more than three years old at the time, sitting in my dad’s desk chair using an old program called “Muzzy”, which helped me become proficient in English, on a prehistoric looking box computer. I am currently sitting at my own desk typing this on a Macbook Pro which I used to become proficient in HTML 5 and C++. I have a drawer full of old gameboys and DS devices that I used to play casual games on. Now I play highly strategic, team oriented E-Sports such as League of Legends and Counterstrike. I used to have a flip phone when I was little, for emergency calls only. Now I have an iPhone and unpublished applications for it that I attempted to create. Adapting to changes in technology has always come naturally to me, primarily because I enjoy learning about and experiencing the inventions myself. In fact, I have no hesitation in stating that computers and the internet have been driving forces in shaping my personality, values, and which issues I stand for. For the above reasons, pursuing a career in a computer related field is my goal, so that I can repay the debts I owe to those before me; those who modernized the technology I used to better myself and to get to where I am now. Thinking back then, I only view mathematics as a subject where complying was the only thing that matters rather than thinking and appreciating its uses in real world problems. Surprisingly, this course brought me back to reality and engraved an idea, or should I say, a reminder, that what I thought back then was wrong because mathematics itself is one of the reasons for our continuous advancements in life. An example can be seen from our industry wherein the production of goods is now simplified and even faster than how it was before, this is because of the production setups (different mixing tanks) and the existence of machines which were the fruits of sciences and mathematics. Now if you think about it, production factories were not designed
