A quote from Doctor Seuss, “Sometime you will know the value of a moment until it become a memory.” What will your legacy be? Everyone wants to be remembered in some way. Whether it is being remembered as the lazy kid who snoozes through class, or the dedicated student who is always prepared for class. For example, a legacy to me is something that is left by a person to be remembered by. A legacy is a person’s reactions to a name. For example, when someone hears my name, I want to be remembered as a hardworking, kind, and helpful peer. My legacy doesnt want to be negative, therefore striving to succeed in my eighth grade year is the best. If I were to leave a great legacy, I will have definitely impact the lives of many people. Therefore, people would be dedicated to their school work and understand the importance of being educated. My parents would be so proud of me and also proud that they raised me. On the other hand, wanting to be a good example to my peers and everyone around me is great. People will recognize me by my creativity and responsibility to achieve my goals. My reputation would be being trustworthy and kind to others. …show more content…
Education and creativity is one of my big factors of growth. Its very important to me to have an education because that’s how you have knowledge, without knowledge no one can have an education to give a point of view in life.”Without growth and self success, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning. This quote explains, that education affect lives, whether it’s physically or mentally. The goals in my 8th grade year are graduating the year with high honor roll, making my family/peers proud, and setting a good example to others. I’m involved with many sports outside of school. For example, I play Field Hockey, Lacrosse, and
Carol Dweck's in “ Carol Dweck Revisits the ‘Growth Mindset’,” explores his passionate ways to analyse how the brain works and how to take action to do what's best for all students to thrive and flourish above and beyond the expectation. It's important to understanding the difference between fixed and growth mindsets especially the students and educators who can lead us to tremendously gratifying results. By continuing to believe and inform students their intelligence can be developed towards a growth mindset rather than a fixed mindset. Also known as growing their brain, the students can succeed more in the programs and achieve higher goals than they did before with this simple information. Some may argue that you do not need education to be successful, looking at examples of one out of million people that made it in life without a highschool diploma; however, that is one out of million and education may not be a guarantee but at least it is a start. Education will always have value put in whatever situation and in whatever period in time, education is a start to push towards success. Because being able to see two totally different personal experiences on education they can come to agreement that education should be one’s first priority if they want to be living a happy successful life. Even though some people actually, very few people, become very successful without education.
Throughout high school, I have been involved in a great number of activities. These include athletics, clubs, and taking part in community service. I have played varsity field hockey my freshman, sophomore, and senior year of high school. I also played varsity lacrosse my freshman and sophomore year. The sport that I am most well known for is swimming, which I have participated in for all four years of high school.
Your selfless effort to get us to where we are, and make us who we are, remains our greatest asset in ensuring a successful future. Your drive to make sure that your child had everything they needed to be a success
The values and teaching passed on to me from my parents will stay the guiding me for who I am today, and for the rest of my live. Mom and Dad were my
The activity I enjoy outside of my classes is Lacrosse. I started playing Lacrosse in third grade by joining the Farmington Youth Lacrosse team. Lacrosse is something I care about because it is something I am good at and enjoy playing. I also like being on a lacrosse team because it helps me work together with other people and collaborate on group projects in school. What keeps me playing lacrosse is there is always something you can do better and trying to be the best you can be is fun and challenging.
Every fall, about 3 million children and their parents flock to football fields to play and watch the game they love. Although the monumental number of participants in youth football today, parents are still making decisions to let their child play contact football. However, children under the age of 18 should be allowed to play “contact football” because it teaches core values, fights childhood obesity, and improvements in technology have made football safer in the past 50 years. Childhood is the ideal time to learn life lessons and to grow your brain.
Mine have simply taught me to appreciate the value in education. Since early childhood, they’ve strongly urged me to prioritize school above all else and to learn from their mistakes, not wanting me to struggle as they did. My father has made me realize the importance in pursuing a higher education—it’s the best way to truly be successful and be able to give my family the life they deserve. From my mother I’ve learned the significance of pursuing a career that I will truly enjoy, since it is presumably what I will spend the rest of my life doing. Thanks to my parents, not only have I been university-bound since I was a toddler, but I’ve also genuinely enjoyed learning.
When people see someone grow it can influence them to do better and be better. It can take people out of dark times, times of poverty, and times of depression. Whatever it is that is plaguing someone can be fixed through hard work and knowledge. “ Education is the most powerful weapon in the which you can use to change the world” (Nelson
A great education can change economics. A great education change democracies. A great education can change dreams. Honestly, I think Mr. Washington and Mr. Chestnutt both are right. I believe that having an education enables you to obtain knowledge to be successful and have economic worth.
This quote directly represents how I feel educating is important to one's self-improvement and the improvement of the work around them. It is crucial for a person to always keep learning, its what develops the brain, helps to form our character and it is a privilege that not all people are able to get. it is when we stop learning and educating ourselves out body becomes a useless vessel. But education can't help build a better future without action, one of my personal goals is to help people, inspire them and make their lives better. I was lucky enough to have a chance of getting an education, having food on my plate and a roof over my head in order for me to become who I am today.
In life, people will experience different things that will have an influence on who they are as well as who they will become. These experiences are in direct correlation to future success. Some believe that most of these experiences are outside of one 's own control, such as where he was born, where he goes to school or even a financial situation. While this makes sense, there is one thing that is within one 's control that will greatly increase the likelihood of one 's achievements. Playing sports in high school has a positive impact on future success.
Your legacy is in your actions and what people remember. Many think one's legacy, is some monetary or wonderful gift one leaves those they love, or people they know. But I am here to tell you, that it's not your legacy, your legacy is in what is remembered about you, and what you leave behind in people’s memories and actions. Be it positive or negative, each lesson you teach is your legacy. Every day you work and speak and give motivation is your legacy.
My family’s past experiences also teach me how to live my life the best way possible. For example, my parents did not finish college, so they were not able to obtain lucrative careers. Not finishing or not even going to college can take a toll on your life. If my parents finished college our life would have been more successful financially. Although my parents did not have the best money,
The purpose of education is to create the “catalyst”, - the interest, the imagination, the self-confidence, the enthusiasm for further knowledge that helps a person grow beyond what they believe they can be. Education should help develop skills and knowledge, so students can be productive members of society. The more knowledge you have, the more opportunities you have in life. I think back to my childhood and the teachers that made an impact in my life. I want to be that catalyst for students.
