In a large majority of countries around the world, many people cannot get access to a life saving substance. A vaccine. There are many different controversies because many are just plainly uneducated. We are here today to tell you about vaccines. A vaccine is a substance that contains dead or weakened antigens from a disease that is then injected, absorbed or inhaled into the body to prevent a disease. With that said, there are many different kinds of diseases, such as polio, measles, and chickenpox. So therefore, One must receive many vaccinations to protect themselves against the many diseases out there. With this one might ask why we would put diseases inside our bodies to protect ourselves. Along with that, Nigeria doesn 't have many resources or funds for vaccines due to their previous president, Olusegun Obasanjo who had $16 billion dollars vanish into thin air over the course of his 10 years in office. Nigeria has now placed laws and received help from organizations, such as UNICEF to receive vaccines for its residents. In India, many people aren 't vaccinated due to the little government support and funds. Disease spreads easily through the crowded, unsanitary streets as well. With that, many citizens don 't believe in vaccines, and there aren 't many places one can get a vaccine in India. With the small amount of medical personnel, organizations such as PATH have trained personnel and offered inexpensive vaccines throughout the country. Many other countries have problems that stop people from receiving vaccines, such as wars or natural disasters that unfortunately take a higher rank over healthcare and vaccines.
