”Diversity is about all us, and about us having to figure out how to walk through this world together.” Was stated by Jacqueline Woodson and is referred to millions of people from different religion, culture, color, etc. Diversity is just like a one of the most important spice in food . If there is no diversity than life will be so boring. Not everyone in a family has the same likes and dislikes; everyone is unique either by behavior or lifestyle or thoughts.
In doing some research, I touched on some key words in describing how one looks at the philosophy of diversity, but Cornell Thomas and John Butler couldn’t have said it any better. Here are four main things that describes diversity. Tolerance is acceptance and open-mindedness of different practices, attitudes, and cultures; does not necessarily mean agreement with the differences. Implies an acknowledgement, or an acceptance or respect.
The topic I would like to discuss is racial equality in the health care field. Racial equality is a topic that is slowly leaving everyone’s daily life. We have to influence the health care providers to endorse upcoming professionals in the next generation to be better that the one before. These care givers need to define laws of racial equality and justice. This influence can help us eliminate racial violence, crimes, and improper care.
Diversity in relation to people basically means we are all different. This could include our age, gender, where we live, our religious beliefs to how we dress. All these factors make us all individual and unique. Equality means we are all entitled to be treated fairly. We should all be given the same rights.
1 a Diversity means that each and every individual is different in their own way whether its their religion, age, beliefs, sexual orientation or race and to be involved or included despite their background. You can experience diversity in every aspect of life whether its inside and outside of the workplace. There is visible and invisible form of diversity, visible being race, age and gender and invisible being a person’s religion, sexual orientation or beliefs. 1.b Equality means treating everyone equally and respectfully according to their own personal needs and beliefs. Equality is about promoting person centred care and equal opportunities as well regardless of a person’s age, gender, race, beliefs or disabilities.
Each of the six panels has their own definition of diversity. For example, one of the six panels define diversity as being different from each other, and how we treat each
P4- when looking at strategies and communication techniques used with different individuals with different needs whom need to overcome different challenges many aspects must be looked at. A challenge Patrick may face may be awareness and knowledge, he may face this as well as others. Patrick may be aware that he has HIV however he may not be aware how much this will effect him and he may not be aware how to deal with it as he may lack the knowledge. In order to overcome this Patrick could educate himself in depth on HIV, this will help him come to terms with it and will also help him to help others understand HIV. A challenge Alice may face might be acceptance or belief, she may not have the determination to become alcohol free and therefore
Diversity Success Strategies Student’s Name Institutional Affiliation Diversity success Strategies Although there may be clear differences between people which include financial abilities, ethical background, race and even sexual orientation, some things tend to unite people. For instance, when it comes to feelings, it does not matter the race, skin color or even ethnic background. Human beings are predisposed to feeling joy, pain, satisfaction and love on equal measures. In particular, life and death tend to have the same impact on humans.
Q 5 – Explain how diversity impacts on practices and experiences on person behaviour, interpersonal relationships, perception and social expectations of others. An individual's cultural perceptions and expectations will directly impact on the way they work with each client and their co-workers; a failure to recognise cultural differences may cause serious problems when they are dealing with others in the workplace.

1.1 Identify the regulatory requirements, codes of practice and relevant guidance for managing concerns and complaints in own area of work. The Local Complaint Stage (1) Immediately after hearing of a complaint, contact the complainant to determine where their issues lie and what they would like to see as a result of the investigation. It is important that the local manager • Demonstrates a caring attitude and shows that there is a genuine attempt to understand the problem. • Ensures the complainant is aware of the complaint process and timelines • Provides the complainant with their contact name and telephone number • Obtains all complaint details at this point of contact to avoid the customer having to repeat themselves
Diversity may mean different things to different people. To me, diversity is exactly that, being different and unique. Diversity makes the world a beautiful place to be, and full of interesting and different people. The beauty of human civilization lies in its diverse groups and cultures.
My individual standards and beliefs impact reliably my involvement to work in the health as well as social care background. For my individual input to the care of individuals undergoing significant life occasions, I would give prominence to the circumstance that I still believe to mark a perhaps superior involvement since I have an inadequate knowledge so far. Nonetheless, I have continuously been anxious with the acceptable completion of my proficient responsibilities as well as the operational assistance and help being delivered to individuals suffering challenging and substantial life’ occasions. Moreover, my work in the health and social care environment was a significant affair for me since it added to my professional as well as personal advancement. In this respect, my role encompassed fundamentals of both wellbeing and social care, though I accomplished utilities of a health care professional principally.
These differences contribute to the organizations ability to be flexible, generate problem solutions, relate effectively to a wide range of clients and to providing a balanced range of services. An organization can invest in developing effective employment programs and strategies that support diversity, but unless they have created an inclusive work environment, that celebrates and builds on differences and that is productive, rewarding, enjoyable and healthy for everyone concerned, they are likely to find that diversity creates more problems than it solves. They will be unable to take advantage of the benefits of diversity and are likely to have difficulty retaining employees. Work practices that make environments safe for all have achieved cultural competence and as a result are demonstrating cultural safety. Overall, this means that the workplace if spiritually, socially and emotionally respecting and appreciating different cultures and that there is no assault, challenge or denial of any person’s identity.
Equality. What is equality? Have a quick think about that. The dictionary says: the state or quality of being equal. But what does this actually mean to you and today in society?
