Technology use has changed the legal field, from law firms, to the courtroom operation and document management. Paralegals are becoming more proficient in using Word, spreadsheet, presentations, database to track clients, and cases, but also learning to use more of legal research software database applications design for certain areas of law. Using technology in a law firm can help deliver effective legal advice and services, for example a law firm can using Lexis Nexus or Westlaw, in finding case law for a certain case, instead of the traditional research books, it saves the attorney substantial amount of time while getting other cases done.
