Introduction The exercise to establish the number of homeless people in the United States is of critical significance. Homelessness poses immense challenges to efforts aimed at controlling infectious diseases and renders the homeless at immense risk of serious mental and physical health effects. This subject is particularly becomes sensitive on considering the significant number of homeless veterans in the US. Especially in the recent past, homelessness has emerged as a costly problem.

Informing the client about available options regarding her health care, (Army) benefits, Medicare, food stamps, and how she is utilizing community resources. I would encourage that Mrs. Carla Washburn stay in contact with friends and family members to form supports that can assist her. She has very strong family values and spiritual guidance from her traditions. It is recommended that she find a home health provider or companion care resource that helps her with household tasks, transportation to doctor’s appointments, grocery stores, and church activities. Have a visiting nurse check in once a week to check how she is doing.

As social workers, speaking on social welfare policy standpoint, social workers do everything from the federal level to the state level insuring and overseeing the administration of social programs. It takes the efforts of social workers in policy makers, as well as program administration to adequately provide the assistance to our clients. Implementation of specific policies can be undermined if the social workers believe that the policy will not be in the best interest of the client. Crises and pivotal events sometime shape the course of implementation, such as wrongdoing by implementers or incorrect decision that adversely affect the lives of clients (Jansson 2018, pg. 466).

The New Deal The New Deal consisted of a series of programs enacted between 1933 and 1938. The New Deal was created to end The Great Depression which started on what people called a "Black Tuesday" October 29, 1929-1939. While people still debate today whether The New Deal was for the better of America or whether it wasn't many can argue that even with it's disadvantages it still got America out of the huge economic slump it was in. President Franklin D. Roosevelt, who was elected in March 1933, immediately began to take action after his election.

As a CASA volunteer, my mom works with neglected, abused, or foster care children alongside their legal aid and the court system. CASA volunteers make sure children do not get lost in the foster care or court system and advocates what is best for the child after spending a lot of time with the child and the other adults present in their life. CASA volunteers are often the one stable adult a child can have in their life. My mom would spend hours a week working to help each kid, whether it just be as simple as taking them to lunch or going to court to speak on the child’s behalf. All of the children were in foster or group homes looking for a stable home.

The human body is a machine with a very complicated working mechanism. For a human being to be productive, his body should be in good shape and health. Therefore, health is a major determinant factor in our resourcefulness. All human beings are entitled to good healthcare. In a general perspective, healthcare is all about maintaining one’s health and improving the health of deteriorating bodies.

Homelessness is one the most ignored problems in the United States with citizen and politician. Homeless people are walked by and ignored. Nobody ever thinks that they will be homeless. Due to the economy, people live paycheck to paycheck making house payments very difficult. Most people will want to believe most homeless people are drug addicts or alcoholics, but most people will be surprise to know that it is no all true.

During the recent years homelessness has increased eminently. Although homelessness is not a new phenomenon it has become a huge social issue in today’s society. In urban areas homelessness is visible by the masses but ignored by society’s negative perception. Characterized as unstable individuals, alcoholics and criminals by society, these negative stereotypes have only escalate the issue. Homeless can occur at any stage of life for multitude of factors.

The issue of homelessness in America has been evident since the early 1600’s. Across the country men, women and children spend their nights on the streets not knowing when or if they will ever find a permanent home. States and federal officials or city councils have tried to alleviate or at least reduce the number of homeless over the last several decades at a city, state or national level but it continues to be an ongoing problem. There is a multitude of factors that account for the growing homeless population that affects each state in the country differently. Though there are many contributing factors that contribute to the amount of people living on the street at any given night in the U.S.

Social work is a career that I have recently become interested in pursuing. I spent many years with misconceptions concerning the sector. However, following three years of working close by these experts, I have picked up a more profound comprehension of the significance of the work. I am especially interested in working in child welfare along with terminally ill children. I have got to a stage in my career where I have started to search out instruction that will make me more efficient in creating plans and providing services for vulnerable people.
