A search of MEDLINE, CINAHL, and PantherCat Online Catalogue of UWM database, PsycInfo, Cochrane Database, and Social Services Abstracts was conducted to retrieve literature published from 1988 to 2006.
Outcome:

A total of 115 articles were reviewed. Overall, 70 relevant studies were selected on health promotion in adults with hypertension in primary settings. A total of 39 nursing process components (nursing diagnoses outcomes and interventions) related to health promotion with adults with high blood pressure were identified in primary healthcare settings
Kaiser Permanente (KP) was founded in 1945 at the height of the Great Depression (Kaiser Permanente, 2017a). Since their humble beginnings KP has strived to provide the best care possible for their patients and improve on health for their members. Kaiser has grown from a small hospital, to a large foundation by making appropriate changes and using strategic planning to ensure members receive the health care they need in terms of quality and safety. One method of strategic planning KP uses is appreciative inquiry, a method and philosophy that identifies when the facility functions at its best and builds from those situations to create a vision of the future and work towards that vision (McNamara, n.d).
The details of the study included literature review, purpose, method, data analysis, results, discussion, limitations, nursing implications, recommendations for future research and conclusion. The results were clearly presented. Study limitations were identified. The conclusion was based on study results. This review was of good quality.
Hospitals frequently enhance their quality of care by improving their best practices. Bedside reporting is a best practice that has numerous benefits including a decrease in the potential for mistakes, increased patient involvement and understanding of their care, increased teamwork among nurses, and an increased accountability of nurses (AHRQ, 2013). A review of the literature was run and showed several studies and literature reviews on bedside reporting. The majority of these articles were conducted on adult medical-surgical
Mr. A is admitted to the critical care unit post bowel resection, splenectomy, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and patient-ventilator dyssynchrony (PVD). He is an eighteen-year-old African American man who is placed on an IV infusion of Norcuron and Ativan. The major outcomes expected for Mr. A would be for him to be able to wean of the ventilator, be hemodynamically stable, heal adequately, tolerate his diet, have adequate bowel elimination, and be able to adjust to his life with optimal functioning. The problems that are to be manage include, being on the ventilator, being sedated, having an elevated temperature, having a low hemoglobin, post surgical bowel resection, splenectomy, hypoxia and diet intolerance.

CRITICAL INCIDENT ANALYSIS The aim of this report is to reflect about a critical incident that happened during my practice as an anaesthetic nurse trainee using the Gibbs reflective model (1988), which is one of the models that suits better in healthcare settings. This critical incident fits perfectly with the description made by Benner (1984) in a way that promotes nursing care with a substantial difference on the patient outcome. A critical reflection framework is a learning method that promotes a critical thinking from the past with consequent actions in the future, highlighting behaviors, assumptions and views.

Nurses are critical for promoting health in the society. The profession is highly flexible, since they specialize in diverse operations in the medical field. Registered nurses, for instance, are responsible for the administration of medicine and inoculations to patients (American Nurses ' Association, 2000). Additionally, these professionals observe, record, and enlighten doctors of any changes in a patient’s health. Nurses interpret and evaluate diagnostic examinations to determine an individual’s condition, as well as making the necessary adjustments in patient treatment plans on their health progress.
Introduction This essay will reflect on my personal experience, skills, and knowledge gained from my studies and practice of undertaking blood pressure (Bp) whilst completing my professional placement. Bp may be defined as a force of blood against vessel walls in the body, consisting of systolic and diastolic pressure measured in millimeters of mercury. (Waugh and Grant, 2016) Systolic pressure occurs when the hearts left ventricle contracts and forces blood into the aorta causing a heightened atrial pressure, while diastolic pressure refers to complete cardiac diastole, this is when the aortic valve closes and pressure is at its lowest between beats, blood moves into smaller corresponding vessels and the heart rests.
These drugs were included to be used as comparison. One treatment included drinking water with no drug added as a control. Next IOP measurement were conducted and recorded in a chart, followed by blood pressure measurement. Losartan treatment suppressed detectable loss
The circulating nurse also initiated the time-out. During the time-out, the circulating nurse said the patient’s name, the surgery that the patient was getting, and the limb in which the surgery was being performed on. The other health care professionals agreed that it was the right patient, right site, and right procedure. Throughout the surgery the circulating nurse continued to ensure the safety of the patient by watching the surgical staff and making sure that the sterile field was not contaminated. This nurse’s role also included gathering materials for the surgeon, throwing away trash, and keeping the environment comfortable for the staff.
In the study, diastolic and systolic blood pressure remained relatively constant when healthy food such as green salad (containing lettuce, tomato, cucumber and feta cheese), mixed vegetables (containing carrots, beans, baby marrow and gem squash) and a fruit salad (containing oranges, melons, grapes, strawberries and apple) – were consumed. When unhealthy food such as a cheeseburger, oily fried chips and doughnuts were consumed, the diastolic and systolic blood pressure increased slightly and then dropped. In figure two and three, one can conclude that unhealthy food in small amounts affects blood pressure slightly by increasing it. In a study conducted in Iran, unhealthy food such a sweets and fast food were the causes of increased blood
