I've always seen myself as a leader So,I was disappointed to know that In school when they were choosing the Posse Nomene they did not choose me. The Posse Scholarship is a four year scholarship for students who show leadership and accomplish to good grades. When I heard that I was not nominated by my school, my thoughts immediately turned to myself. Was I not a leader? I remember the night I got home and i open my computer to see my email and I see an email from Posse saying that I was nominated I was so happy I could not stop smiling.I remember the email telling me that I was nominated for the Posse scholarship because Emily my organiser for my summer job saw good leadership skills with me and she wanted me to do my best with the posse and to never give up. The posse interview was one of the many things that students can go to and gain inspiration from it they teach you valuable lessons. The National Honor Society (NHS) is a notoriously prestigious organization, and it is possibly one of the greatest honors a student can earn in their high school career. Becoming a member of the NHS can open many doors for students, including leadership experience and opportunities for college scholarships. Admission for this program is based on certain ideals. The criteria for admission-scholarship, service, character, and leadership-are four areas in which, at least I believe, I excel. Even when I was a young child, I was very concerned with school.
In history there are a lot of great leaders who stood up for what they believed in and never gave up, such as the books A Mighty Long Way by Carlotta Walls LaNier and Little Rock Girl by Shelley Tougas. In the book there are young leaders who never gave up and had a great impact on young people. 14 year old Carlotta, was in the group with 8 other young teenagers who only wanted to make it to class. Just making it through the door of Central High was a huge relief. As a junior in high school, I was inducted into the National Honor Society for doing exceptionally well in my academic endeavors and actively participating in volunteer events. My contributions through this organization have made a significant impact on both my personal development and my community’s support services. The numerous volunteer projects in which I have participated have prepared me to continue helping others in the future. At the end of junior year, a majority of the upperclassmen band members send in applications to become the next leaders of the band during marching season. These leaders are the role models that, as an upcoming senior, I intended to join. I couldn’t understand how I couldn’t get it. I spent hours after performances unloading supplies. I had perfect attendance for every afterschool practice since freshmen year and always turned everything in on time.
I kept going for the guy next to me performing to the best to his ability. Success was the result of all the hard relentless work done throughout June into August. The unique qualities and characteristics that I possess that will allow me to contribute to the UCF community are being able to work independently and staying motivated at everything I do. Working independently has prepared me for the future because I will not have anyone but myself to get my tasks done. All my life I have worked very hard to get everything I have wanted to accomplish in life especially during my junior year I set a goal to get straight A’s and I put my mind to it and I finally was able to obtain the grades I wanted.

Running for office in the FFA is a huge deal, whether it's at thelocal, state, or national level. It is a position of respect and responsibility among FFA members. NHS Leadership Essay Being involved in several clubs and activities has enlightened me with valuable life lessons that will sustain with me through my schooling and my life. The club that has presumably impacted my life the utmost is our school 's soccer club. We have a considerable amount of assistant coaches who help us better ourselves not only in our athletic talent, but in our character as well.
