My mother recently told me before moving to college, “Success doesn’t come to you, you go to it.” This assignment of having to do an informational interview was so interesting and informative about the career I want to have someday. I don’t actually know of anyone that has the career that I want to do, so I reached out to my hometown veterinarian and asked her who she uses as her pharmaceutical sales representative. She referred me to the company of who she uses and gave me the number of someone to call that would be happy to do an interview with me. Her name is Cassandra Buland, and she is the territory sales manager of Virbac. All of the questions I asked her, she didn’t hesitate about any of the answers or even have to think about what she was going to say. She seemed like she truly enjoyed her career and what she does. …show more content…
She said that most companies require that you have a bachelors degree, but some will let you get away with an associates degree, paired with experience. She said that it varies whether the company wants you to have sales experience or not. Some will hire straight out of college, and others want you to have experience before hiring. That being said, it really influences me to start looking for some type of experience dealing with sales while I’m in college. I have always had a passion for animals, but I just recently chose this major last summer. I hope to gain more experience over the semester and become more involved. She actually obtained her job several different ways. She has been a teacher, an office manager, and worked in a veterinary
Quickly advocating for the organization and actively participating in events and fundraising. She has served the agency with distinction and has worked tirelessly, not only Literacy Connections, but also for other worthy
She is always quite witty and has an arsenal full of snarky comebacks that she can unleash at any time. When thrown into a tricky situation, she can be unsure of herself, terrified, confused, and excited all at the same time. But when the going gets tough she will always find a way to take care of her loved ones and herself. Nonetheless, she is not your badass character with innate physical strength common to most heroines. Most of the time she will muddle through problems by sheer will, which is what makes her such a brave and personable character that light up the entire
She is passionate about what she does and cares about her girls. She is involved in her girls lives not only on the field but also off the field. She explained it by stating “ my girls are not just a stat, but they are family.” She strives to not miss opportunities to connect with her girls, making herself transparent and available to them. As a coach, she acknowledges that she is a higher power and an example.
Another interesting question I had asked her was, If you could have dinner with anyone who would you choose? Why, she replied, “Richard Branson, because he is very successful.” Most of the other question were answered with simple answers like, I want to travel everywhere or start my own
However, the one thing that stood out the most was her beautiful welcoming spirit and her passion for serving others. During the interviewing while she goes on to talk more about her duties as a manager, of the office of CSI, she had a beautiful smile on her face. She sees her staff not as a team but as a family, and she said, “She is more than happy to help them with anything because she want nothing but for them to succeed in whatever they are doing.” She is very hands-on in the office she does not dictate instead she focuses more on helping her staff and direct in the right way to get their task done. Everyone seems to enjoy her company and love being around her, they do not seem to hesitate on asking her any questions regarding any officer matters, they really function as a family at the
She will always give it her all in every project, assignment, or event she has, and therefore she is always satisfied with her
The interviewee Gloria Nipping, is from Church, she’s always gone to 5pm mass on Saturdays ever since I can remember. Her husband Lou, goes fishing with my dad occasionally and so we are in constant contact with each other. Gloria was born in New Orleans, she lived 40 miles out of New Orleans in a small town, and her parish was Saint Charles, parishes were named after different saints. Gloria went to elementary school in a little town, it was a two room school with two teachers and each teacher had four classes, it was segregated. Gloria stated, “I was in a time when things were segregated.”
Emma is an enjoyable person to be around and through this interview I learned a lot about my teammate as a person and some characteristics about her as a
She doesn’t let negativity stop her from being great. Also, she is known for her good looks and clothing she wears. She was replaced by Megyn Kelly on the Today Show after she had been at the network for 10 years. She came from a poor background but, made it out and is very
If she didn’t like something or thought she was being treated unfairly, she was going to say something and voice her opinion. For example, when she was doing the film” Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” they didn’t give her a dressing room, so she spoke up because she wasn’t going to get walked over. She might be a nice and friendly person outside her job, but when you come between that and her, she was going to let it be known that she don’t play with any foolishness. She took her job very
I interviewed holly who is a small animal veterinarian that works in Mankato, Minnesota. The clinic is a medium sized with two full time vets and two, soon to be 3, part time vets. Most of the vets have lots of field experience in a clinic with them graduating from 2010 to 1997. Holly is the most recently added Veterinarian and has been working there for two and a half years. Her schooling first started with an AA degree at a community college and then went to a 4 year with another four years in vet school.
Her unwavering ethical standards and commitment to transparency serves as an inspiration to everyone she interacts with. She consistently fosters an environment of respect, ensuring that everyone feels valued and heard. Due to her respect and recognition of everyone, she firmly believes in the power of diversity and inclusiveness. She actively promotes an atmosphere where everyone's unique perspectives and backgrounds are considered and embraced. When I was still new to my role and lacking confidence due to my limited experience, she encouraged me to speak up and pushed me to be more involved.
She takes everything in stride no matter the circumstance and is always positive.
Alice is a very polite and professional candidate. All though a lot of administrative experience has been in healthcare, she is interested in branching out of the healthcare environment. She most recently completed a temporary assignment for Allied Health Group as an Administrative Office Assistant. In this role, she would run daily reports, handle requests via phone and in person, and maintained the database.
As the interviewer, I learned that it can be especially helpful to ask follow up questions. For example, when I asked what attracted her to theater, she succinctly replied that she had enjoyed it every since she was a child. However, when I followed by asking what specifically prompted this passion, she reflected and explained how seeing the Lion King on Broadway elicited her love for theater. With this being said, the question regarding what sparked her interest in this topic provoked a thoughtful and lengthy response. In addition, the question about detailing her personal background gave me insight into how theater became so prevalent in her life, since her family members, mainly her twin sister, share the same passion.
