Human Trafficking It is a simple day, you have a date planned later tonight. This date could be anywhere, wherever you want it to be. Imagine what it would be like to go to Paris or a dinner date to a fancy restaurant. All in all there is excitement in the air with no red flags that show any danger in the night ahead. There they are, the spouse that planned the date. Everything goes as planned and in a blink of an eye it all disappears. You wake up in a new room, a room that you have never entered. You're asking yourself what happened, why it happened, who did it? The answer is that there is no clear answer. (About Human Trafficking) Human trafficking has affected over twenty seven million people

With countries and multiple different organizations joining arms to try and fight against this global issue. Human Trafficking, the name itself is well known and it is no secret to the general public.
“Human trafficking involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act.” (What is Human Trafficking?, Homeland Security, n.d.). Human trafficking is sometimes referred to as modern day slavery. None of these people who have been kidnapped are able to see their families, and trying to get outside help will only get them hurt more. It can happen to anyone at any given point without warning. With human trafficking happening spontaneously, and it being an international problem, it doesn't mean it can't be prevented. “In twenty-seventeen, the Department of of State Labor and the U.S. Agency for International Development managed a total of one hundred and twenty international counter-human-trafficking projects across more than 40 different countries. (What is the U.S. Government doing to combat human trafficking?). With this being said the U.S has teamed up with multiple countries, some of those countries being, Canada, New

Not expecting to have any type of legal consequence. Although the second part of not having legal consequences is false. It means that in higher populated areas, such as cities there is a lot more of a risk of there being traffickers. “Traffickers might use the following methods to lure victims into trafficking situations, violence, manipulation, false promises of well paying jobs, and romantic relationships.” (Human Trafficking, John Hartwell Moore.) Violence and manipulation are self explanatory in the sense that one would already know how that would work. Tying back to the people that are targeted in economic hardships, false promises of well paying jobs would play a big role for that. People who cannot afford things such as rent or basic necessities could think that they would want to use this to their advantage without thinking about the consequences that it could cause. Traffickers would use one's vulnerability to take advantage of their victims. Take the homeless for example, they would promise the homeless a home and basic necessities. Most likely they would take up on the offer again, without absorbing the fact that there could be consequences. With that, they now become a
One of the many things that can make a person susceptible to trafficking is their financial situation. Victims of trafficking might come from any socioeconomic class, but the lack of resources, especially employment prospects, is intrinsically tied to the crime. When people desperately try to escape poverty, they may fall victim to deceptive job practices or sex trafficking. Human traffickers focus on the poor and those who are otherwise unable to provide for even their necessities. Over a third of the world's population, or 2.5 billion people, are at risk for human trafficking since they earn less than $2.00 per day (Cook et al., 2022).
One of the main reasons for getting caught in a situation like this is trauma. Feeling alone causes people to run from home. These traffickers will use any sight of vulnerability that shows. Human trafficking makes people have trust problems, and not where clothes they wanna wear. Even if you don't do these things, even looking at traffickers in the eyes can get people trafficked.
In the United States, human trafficking has taken on different forms than what is normally thought of as human trafficking. It can range from a migrant laborer wanting to get a job to be able to support his family to survive who is then forced into manipulative work to a child running away to get away from abuse that is happening at home and the person that is helping the child get away from the abusive situation at home turns out to be exploiting him or her to make a profit (Farrell et al, 2014). According the International Labour Organization has estimated that 20.9 million people are involved in human trafficking in the whole world, with 1.5 million victims are in the United States, Canada, and Western Europe. In 2011, there were 3,969 convictions worldwide, and there were only 151 convictions in the United States.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” Human trafficking is to big of an issue to be kept in the dark because if it is ignored, then it will make things worse. Human trafficking is a worldwide crime, especially in the United States. Men, women, girls, and boys are being forced into labor and are sexually abused to gain personal profit, which are sold illegally for these actions. The people that experience human trafficking are affected because they need freedom and remain affected even if freedom is granted.
Means is how the crime is done, means mostly consists of abduction, threats, manipulation, deception, force and the like. Purpose explains why it was committed which is the explicit intent to exploit the victim. The International Labor Organization reported that in 2017 approximately 24.9 million people were victims of human trafficking with around 81% of victims falling under the category of forced labor and 19% falling under the category of sexual exploitation. Out of the 24.9 million the demographics showed around 70% of women and girls were victims of trafficking and 30% of men and boys were victims of trafficking, with 75% being over the age of 18 and 25% being under the age of 18. Within the United States there are approximately 600-800,00 victims of trafficking according to the US State Department, with Asia-pacific region accounting for the largest amount of victims internationally.
Due to the complex nature of the problem of sex trafficking, it is difficult to estimate the actual number of victims though there is some data on those rescued. The same factors that make data difficult to collect also add to the prevalence of the problem. In 2016 there were 233 individuals who were identified as victims of sex trafficking in the state of Ohio. (“2016 Human Trafficking”, n.d.) This number is likely a small fraction of the total number of victims, and these are only those identified in Ohio.
Women who are victims of trafficking may also face legal consequences. When victims of trafficking come across local authorities, they can be charged with violations of the law. The consequence of the illegal acts is often deportation, being sent back to the country of origin, which has a long-term legal effect on the woman 's ability to travel again to a particular country (The lost
THE IMPACT OF TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS Human trafficking today is a global phenomenon, affecting men, women and children in over 130 countries of the world. Trafficking is a crime against individuals. As such, the consequences are most directly felt by trafficked persons. As well documented, trafficking activities contravene fundamental human rights, denying people basic and broadly accepted individual freedoms. Trafficking also has broad economic, social and cultural consequences.
What is human trafficking? Human trafficking is a crime that involves forcing someone to work against their will or to engage in commercial sex acts. There are victims and survivors. There is no single gender race, disability, or age, because they don't care what the age of the victim is, they will sex traffic anyone, especially minors. The most common age for child sex trafficking is 12.

The three forms add up to a total of 20.9 million victims in 2012. 2) Most people cannot trace and did not realize the illegal activity of human trafficking within their country or in another country because traffickers know well how to deal with this matter. (Transition: Let’s see the effects of human trafficking.) II. Human trafficking will not have any positive effect on the victims who are exploited, their families, communities and states of origin.

“The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil but by those who watch them without doing anything”-Albert Einstein Human Trafficking is the trade of humans for the purpose of sexual slavery, forced labour, organs removal, commercial sex exploitation and economic exploitation. Normally, trafficking is done by threat, compulsion, abduction, fraud, misleading, abuse of power, vulnerability, giving payments or benefits to a person in control of the victim .Trafficking in person is a serious crime and dignified violation of human rights . Most of people nowadays do not know that human slavery still exists; after it was abolished 150 years ago, its proven when there is an auction of young women intended for sexual slavery occurred publicly in Britain highly policed location and another auction even took place in front of a café at Greenwich Airport, Britain (News by BBC UK, 4 June 2006, 14.31 GMT). These crimes have been booming and become a global phenomenon when victims from at least 153 countries were detected in 124 countries worldwide between 2010 and 2012.
Human Trafficking affects every country of the world today. It affects many people, but mostly the people who are involved. Research has shown that women are the common victims of Human Trafficking, as many people see women as
HUMAN TRAFFICKING Is there a sight more heartwarming than being unbound, unhampered, unconfined and independent? When most people consider slavery to be extinct, the 21st Century is experiencing a tremendous boom of reincarnation of illegal slavery in most parts of the world in the form of human trafficking. Human trafficking or flesh trade is the third largest international crime industry which commonly runs for the purpose of sexual slavery, forced labour or commercial sexual exploitation for the trafficker or others, extraction of organs or tissues, occurring nationally or trans-nationally. According to some estimates, approximately 80% of trafficking involves sexual exploitation and 19% involves labour exploitation. The exact extent is
