Integrity In Leadership

Integrity is the common theme that guides the employees of the district. Integrity is always doing the right thing even when it’s the hard thing. Also, it can be defined as being honest and having strong moral principles. Integrity is not only an important trait for the district to have, but also for a person. I believe that having a set of morals is what defines a person.

“Personal integrity is important, not because it gets us what we want, but because it helps us be what we want. ”-Michael Josephson. This quote describes personal integrity perfectly. Personal integrity can vary depending on many different things, but ultimately it is up to that person to decide who they are. This is shown in the book To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.

Is personal integrity more important than survival? The dictionary defines integrity as the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness. The Salem witch trials in history shows how men and women had to choose between their own morals and their faith. In Arthur Miller’s The Crucible the people show their value of personal integrity over life while maintaining their reputation and good name to pass down to generations to come. Giles Corey is a man of integrity who cares for his family and friends in the community.

INTEGRITY Integrity is important for many reasons. The author, Ethan Canin, uses integrity as the central idea of his short story, “The Palace Thief”. The narrator, Hundert, believes it's his job to mold his students’ characters,so that these boys could grow up to become powerful leaders with good morals.

Character is perhaps the most important aspect of being an honorable leader. One of the attributes that I value most is kindness. No matter how simple it may seem, it is certainly important. I make an effort to be a good friend to everyone I encounter and make them feel respected. Making others know their worth and feel respected is a great way to earn their respect back.

1. Do you agree with Didion’s claim that self-respect has nothing to do with the approval of others? Yes I agree with Didion’s claim that “self-respect has nothing to do with the approval of others.” I believe if we’re only seeking approval of others then we aren’t actually respecting ourselves.

Respect, love, right from wrong, these are very important things to have in Christian leadership. Charter and values of a person are different. Our charter is a spiritual fruit and a blessing that is built from a real, Godly relationship and total commitment to Christ as Lord. In order for us to develop a strong charter, the flow from the Fruit of the Holy Spirit must be accessed and developed (Galatians 5:22-23). The preacher must preach the word, the leadership sculpt it, and the church encourage and model it through the precepts of the world.

The ones who value their integrity highly are the good people in this world, and the opposite is true for those who do not value their integrity. Some examples of integrity and being dishonest. Examples of Integrity are to keep your promises even if it takes extra effort, go back to a store and pay for something you forgot to pay for, return money that you noticed someone dropped without expecting a reward, and there is so much more examples to be honest and to have integrity. Authentic leaders have a positive impact on followers, groups, and organization (Yaacoub, 2016). These leaders can be motivating on one hand and change to another style depending on the condition.
