Response paper #1 Recently I took a tour of the James E. Lewis Museum of art located in Baltimore, MD. This museum is a part of Morgan State University fine arts building. As I walked into the museum I notice the beautiful entrance that consist of sculptures of very important people in history. In addition I was amazed by the infrastructure of the museum and the setup of the lighting in the museum. Furthermore, the transition in the height of the walls inside of the museum were very appalling. As I walked around the mesuem I notice that the paintings were not hanging up on the wall. Instead these paintings were placed on the floor leaning on the wall in a diagonal motion. These mask reminded me of different rituals that is practiced in the Haitian culture. However, I believe that these mask were used in Africa for very specific rituals to contact certain Gods for different personal reasons. In addition there was an African sculpture of a woman with a fabricated wig. Once of seen this sculpture I envision all of the less fortunate women in Africa that have to struggle day in day out to make ends meet. This sculpture is very powerful because it reminds people of the struggle that women had and still have today. Then I notice the final piece of art in this museum which was a big box painted with African symbols. This box made me think of Pandora’s Box but this box is open. According to the Pandora’s Box legend an individual is not supposed to open the box unless they want to deal with their inner deep desires. Ironically, inside off this box there were letterers and envelopes of what could consist of people’s personal

Though Epimetheus warns Pandora about the dangers the gods pose. She does not heed his warning and rather becomes obsessed with the thought of the box. She is determined to figure out what the contents of the box are. Pandora realizes Epimetheus’s warning, but quickly forgets them as she is compelled with her dowry. Next, Pandora attempts to convey the opening of the box not as unloyal but as a right, on page 479 she claims, “After all, it was her dowry, and she had a right to see what the greatest of gods had conferred upon her,” (Untermeyer 479).

Visiting museums is always fun for many people, especially when you are a little kid. You get to see all kinds of different historical works done by the people from the past and present. I recently haven’t been to any museums since I was little, until I got to visit one for this course. For this Action Research Project Paper, I visited Dallas Freedman’s Memorial located in Dallas, Texas. Dallas Freedman’s Memorial is one of the most beautiful museums and quite depressing at the same time.
In “Pandora 's Box” curiosity is shown very frequently. The text says, “Pandora restrained her curiosity about the wonderful casket. But with the passing of time, she could not help but wonder what it might contain.” This shows the curiosity because she is wondering and predicting what will be in her dowry. Even though she is aware of what may happen, she chooses to open it regardless.

Henry Lee Lucas was a well-known serial killer for many reasons. Not only was he extremely hard to profile but he confessed to many of his killings. One would think that these confessions would help investigators solve many murders, but unfortunately there were many holes in Lucas’s confessions. Henry was known for committing his murders in acts of rage or anger. He never planned anything and he had no signatures.
The Oakland Museum of California is a remarkable place to experience art in a museum for the first. It is a small museum but, it has so much to offer. It includes an Art gallery, History gallery and a Natural Science gallery. Walking up to the entrance of the museum, I noticed the museum is small but it had a sense of space surrounding it. The exterior had little decorations and the building has a simple but very geometric shape.
