She was born on October 4th 1997 in Detroit, Michigan, and I remember that day because it was the same day I was getting my tonsil removed. (Great day for me because, I was told that my baby sister was born, and I got free ice cream for my throat. Awesome day)
Grew up with a disability that allows her to not being able to pronounce words clearly She is the youngest of the three kids my mother had.
She was the only one out of the three that grew up with her father in her life

This past Sunday, June 18th, America lost muslim teen, Nabra Hassanen to what most call road rage, and others, a hate crime. Hassanen, accompanied by a group of friends were headed back to a local mosque after a trip to a fast-food restaurant. It was then that they encountered driver Darwin Martinez Torres and an argument erupted. The altercation escalated, resulting in the capturing and death of 17 year old Hassanen. Torres had beaten her with a baseball bat, abducted her, and dumped her body into a lake.

I chose to do my biography on Marlee Matlin. I chose Marlee because I still remember watching her on Sesame Street singing with Billy Joel from when I was a child. I loved that episode because I had Deaf friends and it made me so happy to see a song in ASL.
