Faking His Own Murder Why would someone feel the need to fake their own murder? Max Powers was found murdered at his home at 3:00pm. There was no blood found on the scene and lab testing reflects that the coke he was drinking was tainted with. He had recently received 12 million dollars and all of the friends that were at his house were also in his will. Because of his motives, discrepancies in the suspects’ testimonies, and incriminating physical evidence, it is clear that Max Powers is Max Powers’s murderer.
After intensely examining all of the evidence it is concluded that Max had multiple motives to fake his death. Max grew up in a wealthy home and was spoiled all of his life. It is stated that Max recently, “Inherited a considerable

Katherine Chandler was Max’s girlfriend and was working so she couldn’t attend his party. It is stated that she, “Saw Max at a bus stop after the murder”(Case Report). Consequently this suggests that Max is still alive and was never really murdered. Similarly Max’s own testimony is the biggest piece of evidence that reflects hemay not be dead. In the Case Report it is stated that, “His body went missing on its way to the morgue”(Case Report). This suggests that there is no physical proof that Max is dead. Testing was done on the water that was in the ice cube tray at the crime scene. Looking at the forensic report the testing results showed that the water was different from the tap water and had a pH balance of 9. Max would have had to be the person to fill the ice cube tray because the water would not have been able to freeze into cubes if one of his guests had done it. It is estimated that it takes around 3-4 hours for water to freeze in a freezer but can take even longer. The person would have had to put the tray in the freezer at 10:00am at least and Max would have been alone in the home. In addition lab testing was done on the sodas Ray and Max were drinking. Ray’s had a pH of 5 while Max’s had a pH of 9. Ray also stated that he, “Saw Max alone and joined him”(Case Report). Ray could not have poisoned Max because Max would have seen him do it. Furthermore Max was already outside with the cokes and is the only one that could have poisoned the cokes without being seen. Finally Max is also the only person not accountable between 2:45-2:55pm. Ray stated that he, “Went to the bathroom at 2:45 and took 10 minutes”(Case Report). He had 10 minutes all alone on the porch right before 3:00 when everyone came to the crime scene. There are multiple pieces of evidence that prove that Max Powers faked his own
She claims she returned to the victim residence the next morning to ask Smith for his assistance starting her car. When he did not answer, she entered the unlocked residence and found the victim deceased at the bottom of the back steps. There is no indication of forced entry; although, the body was found face up and the lividity on the victim’s face and chest indicate he died face down. Isaac Harris and Max Blanck are guilty of manslaughter. I think this becuase there is lots of evidence that proves that they are guilty. One piece of evidence that proves this is that there was a lack of fire safety in the factory, no sprinkler system, and no escape route. Another piece of evidence that proves that Blanck and Harris are guilty of manslaughter is that there were fire hazards everywhere, causing the fire to spread very quickly. The final piece of evidence that proves that Blanck and Harris are guilty of manslaughter is that Harris KNEW that the doors were locked becuase he wanted to make sure that the employees didn’t steal anything.

For 18 years behind bars – 12 of them on death row – Anthony Graves maintained his innocence for the horrific murder of a family in Somerville, Texas. But that’s exactly how long it took for injustice to finally be overturned. On a Wednesday afternoon at the Burleson County jail in Caldwell, Texas; Anthony was writing a letter in cell when a guard unlocked the door and ordered Graves to come with him. “I had no idea what was going on, and why he wasn’t putting me in handcuffs”, said Graves.
You may or may not know who Meriwether Lewis is, but he has had a very important role in history, especially that of Louisiana, and the cause of death has been argued upon for years. He was a member of the state militia, he helped quell the Whiskey rebellion, a Pennsylvania uprising that was led against taxes, and he was a friend of Jefferson’s. Quite possibly his greatest achievements were governing Louisiana after the purchase, and the Lewis and Clark expedition. He had a major role in the Lewis and Clark expedition, which was to collect data of the plants, animals, and land forms he encountered. He had been picked by Jefferson to be the governor of Louisiana, he was travelling to DC at the time to have the government reimburse him for
Max gets accused of murder, has a restraining order taken out against him, and almost gets killed. After this, he began to realize that lying can lead to fatal consequences. To start off my argument, Max lied to the police about Preston’s location when they were out camping together. Preston had asked Max if he would cover for him while Preston traveled to Vegas to meet a mysterious woman named Violet Cain. Max didn’t hesitate to say yes to help his best friend.
We have had many murder cases over the course of time. There have been murders that swept across the nation some are murders most people haven't even heard of. On the morning of September 9th, 1993, around 2 a.m. Christopher Simmons and his friends Charles Benjamin and John Tessmer (who he convinced to do it because he said that they could get away with it because they are minors) met together and headed to the victim's house but Tessmer left before the other two could carry out their sinister deed. While Simmons and his accomplice may have gotten away with it, one day later a fisherman recovered the deceased victims’ body in the river and her husband came home from an overnight trip the same day to find that his bedroom was a wreck and his wife was missing. The next day, after learning about his (Simmons) involvement, arrested him at his highschool and read him his miranda rights. 17 year old Christopher
When he was pushed out by the rest of his family, the relief struggled inside him like an obscenity” (193). This quotation proves that in order for Max to survive he had to go to a place like the Hubermann’s House and leave his family behind, which is how he had overcame this adversity. The second adversity that is faced by Max is the adversity of people standing over him and scarring him like his father and Hitler. He overcomes this adversity so that he can survive the situation of having people that empower him, standing over him. Max illustrates his fear of men standing over him when she states, “All my life, I’ve been scared of men standing over me.

This essay compares and contrasts two films, “Dial M for Murder” and its remake “A Perfect Murder” in order to analyse how these films depict the main female characters Margo and Emily. The paper especially focuses on the remake’s intention to present a modern version of women or wives, by looking at the changes in characters, settings and the use of phone as a medium. Firstly, “A Perfect Murder” makes several changes to the original characters in an attempt to revise the traditional gender roles. Although Margo from “Dial M for Murder” and Emily from “A Perfect Murder” are apparently similar in that they are both beautiful and wealthy blondes, Emily is portrayed as with more of a brain in the beginning of the film.
